I think I've mentioned several times that my son-in-law was double jabbed, and as a front line worker had come into direct contact with Covid a few times to the extent he was made to stay off work a couple of times for 14 days in isolation. He got away with it time after time, but it did get him eventually. He's fine now.

I don't believe it is as contagious as some make us believe. So luck of the draw.

I myself was in a situation (I won't go into details) last Sunday where I was instructed to go home, thoroughly shower and change/clean my clothes. It's like a ticking time bomb, but so far so good.

So I'm left wondering either that the AZ vaccine did it's job or I was lucky.

Boys can get two Pfizer shot doses

https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/ge ... shot-doses

The Public Health Ministry has decided that boys aged 12-16 can get two doses of the Pfizer vaccine.

Dr Opas Karnkawinpong, director-general of the Department of Communicable Disease, said there were concerns about potential myocarditis among boys aged 12-16 so at first, the ministry decided to give only one shot.

He said after consulting with paediatricians who specialise in infectious diseases and heart diseases and reviewing research findings, the ministry has concluded the risks are real but very low and those with mild symptoms can fully recover without medical assistance.

"It has been decided that boys aged 12-16 can get two doses of the Pfizer vaccine but on a voluntary basis. The vaccination must not be used as a condition for returning to class," he said.

He said the ministry will closely monitor the health of the children after they receive the jabs.

According to the ministry, as of Oct 19, a total of 1,325,527 students aged 12-18 have received their first shot of Pfizer vaccine since the launch of nationwide Pfizer inoculations for young people aged 12-18 on Oct 7 ahead of the reopening of schools next month.

The target is to vaccinate five million students aged 12-18 and about 3.8 million have been registered for the vaccine.

Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said the ministry plans to inoculate all students who study in formal and non-formal education.

Yes they can. Girls were never an issue concerning potential heart problems. Daughter and her classmates are set for shot #2 on November 1.

asymptomatic/symptomatic per cent 84.12

I know - mathematically it's a rubbish statement.

Also vaccine HH 1 jab, 2 jabs = 100.33%, 84.6%.
This doesn't sound right to me. Please note, I accept you are only reading what they are telling us, and it isn't your version of the truth, but it just does not ring true with me (for Tapatalk users, a list follows):
  • General consensus is testing is not happening as a routine measure.
  • Testing is happening in Clusters.
  • Only a small % of recent Hua Hin cases have been cluster related.
  • That just leaves walk-in cases being tested.
This must mean there are a lot of people in Hua Hin waking up each morning over the last 10 days feeling 100% (asymptomatic), and thinking I've got a bit of money to burn, I'll invest a couple of thousand Baht getting a Covid test today.

I actually want to believe that we're being told the truth, but what they say has to make sense. They keep throwing more and more charts at us each day, but they do not add up. They think we're stupid.
I know what you mean. But there's a lot of stuff we don't see or bother to look for or isn't available. When they summarize the cases they don't say whether symptomatic or not. You have to go through the individual timelines to find out. Just too many now.

Out of today's 341 total "catch":

180 at the workers camp at Nong Ta Taem. We don't know how many of these had any symptoms at all, or vice versa.

48 ARI cases (acute respiratory infection) must have symptoms.

56 HR (high risk) cases. We don't know how many have symptoms, as they may have tested after being in contact with somebody positive.

A lot of cases are from clusters. We don't know if they felt ill or just had precautionary tests, voluntarily or not.

Some people will take a test even if they don't feel ill but have been in contact. There's just no reporting on that.

If this story is real, it's clear proof that they're all on the take and will only use/order/procure vaccines that benefit them and their cronies financially. :guns:

MFA BLOCKS POLAND’S MODERNA DONATION TO THAI HOSPITAL
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs appears to have scuttled an offered donation of 3 million doses of Moderna vaccine from a government agency in Poland to a hospital in Thailand, citing the need to conduct the deal through an “appropriate” diplomatic channel.

The MFA’s effort to block the shipment of the mRNA vaccines to Thailand was revealed in an internal document published by Than Setthakit newspaper on Monday. According to the letter, which was sent by the MFA to Thammasat University Hospital, the ministry said it cannot facilitate the donation, since it was not conducted on a government-to-government basis.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was not informed about the aforementioned donation through formal diplomatic channels by Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Polish Embassy in Thailand,” the letter said. “Therefore, we believe a direct communication between the vaccine donor in Poland and the vaccine recipient in Thailand would be more appropriate.”

Can i get my second dose of AZ there ? I am part of the BCCT group who have to wait 12 weeks until mid november and am supposed to go to Bangkok which seems silly if i can get it in HH. I sent an email to BCCT a couple of weeks ago but had no response.

These Bluport sessions are for:

AZ boosters for those who had 2 shots of SV.

First shots of SV for those who registered in the morprachuabphrom app.

Pfizer for school kids / students.

You could try phoning or going to HHH to see whether or not they can accommodate you later.

I had friends who moved their second jab to Hua Hin, but I think there was a small window of opportunity to move the vaccine here. You would need to check with Hua Hin Hospital.

I was in Bangkok yesterday for my second jab through the BCCT scheme. I had previously asked by email whether a venue in Hua Hin was possible but was told "no"! I should say that I arrived one hour early for my 11.00 am appointment though I was registered, processed and jabbed and back outside, certificate in hand, before 11.00 ! The organisation within the hospital was excellent with plenty of help on hand for form filling, etc.
