Hi Wil, I have never personally seen wind surfing in Hua Hin, although I have seen kite surfing. There is a favourable on shore wind most of the time so perhapps you will be the first!!

the windy season is over already.

true, no windsurfers, but kitesurfers there.

if you want more stable wind go to jomtien - club loong chat has lots of windsurf equipment as well.

Windsurfing at Hua Hin

There are Windsurfers for hire on the beach in front of The Verandah Resort at Cha-am(not the one at Hua Hin).
Also they have them for guests at the Novotel Tipviman next to The Holiday Inn Regent at Cha-am

The plan is to come October 13 till 27.
So I hope for some wind by then.
Anything between 4 and 7 beaufort will do.

Hey Wil,

I've kitesurfed in HH almost every windy day for years. Last season, there was some good wind (and very polluted water from heavy rain) at the end of October, but it was a bit of a freak thing. You might get some wind in October again but I would not bank the whole holiday on it. Oct is a transition month and conditions are unpredictable. Still, early rumors are that the northeast monsoon wind will be good this year. You could get lucky. November is better, and December is your best bet. Go on-line to windguru and check the archives. It's pretty accurate, though I usually add 3-5 knots to whatever they say.

People do windsurf here and Pra Plem rents out top quality gear. He is located about 200 meters south of the Mariott in a big tent. He also has great information. I'm not sure he is there right now because it is the low season, but I reckon he will be there soon.

Or you could make the jump and switch to kites . . .
