Immigration to introduce 90 day reporting online
Re: Immigration to introduce 90 day reporting online
Did mine this morning about 7am without a problem.

Can’t you just log back in to the system and find your approval and from there you can print it off?PET wrote:I tried again and got approved but forgot to take a note of the Transaction number which I forgot I needed to print off the approval. Anyway I had gone too far to get back to the page and now they just say I have to go to the office. I shall not forget again but the number is 20++ long.
Anyway a timely reminder to print off the approval page next time

It seems that you have to start all over again and then once you get to the captcha and submit, it tells you to report to the IMO and does not go to the next page re address etcDannie Boy wrote: ↑Wed Oct 27, 2021 2:19 pmCan’t you just log back in to the system and find your approval and from there you can print it off?PET wrote:I tried again and got approved but forgot to take a note of the Transaction number which I forgot I needed to print off the approval. At the bottom of the page is the words Check My Status or similar and you can check with your passport number, the long approval ref is not required.
Also just take a photo of the page on your phone, it's not necessary to print it out, put the date in your phone diary as a reminder.

It worked and so easy to resolve, thank you so much.

Re: 90 day reporting
I have tried today to do 90 day report online, 14 days before it is due, but I keep being referred to my local Immigration office. Has the system crashed?
Re: Immigration to introduce 90 day reporting online
As you'll read from the responses above, it works about half the time and is somewhat of a lottery.

I've never won the Lottery - I'll just go to Immi.....
Re: 90 day reporting
For the first time ever I was unable to do my 90 report online. We were trying with a web browser. I decided to try the iPhone app instead. After logging in with my user name and password, I was greeted with the following:
.
. .
.
This in spite of the fact that my passport has an extension of stay stamp dated September 1, 2021 and extending my stay up to 28 September 2022.
Amazing Thailand. I keep reading how 5G is the key to Thailand's digital future. As far as I can see it will simply enable them to f*ck up even faster.
Re: 90 day reporting

This thread is a testament to that - five years old and over 30 pages long now. Most of it complaints about how such a simple system of collecting data from a web form and entering it into a central database fails to function most of the time. A 10-year-old could write the code for it. Thailand 4.0.

I suspect they want to discourage foreigners from living here. Just visit, leave money and go away. Better yet, send money and stay away. Either that or the country is run by low IQ people. Draw your own conclusions.buksida wrote: ↑Sat Nov 20, 2021 12:39 pmspot on.

Re: Immigration to introduce 90 day reporting online
100 being the median score and later reports suggest that the average IQ in Thailand is getting worse. From 2002 to 2006 two professors conducted IQ research in more than 180 nations. The result was their World Ranking of Countries by Their Average IQ, rank ordered by average IQ (with many ties due to identical results). Thailand ranked 16 with an average IQ of 91. Other ASEAN nations ranked: Singapore, 1-average IQ 108; Vietnam, 13-94; Malaysia, 15-92; Brunei, 16-91; Cambodia, 16-91; Laos, 18-89; Indonesia, 20-87; Myanmar, 20-87; Philippines, 21-86
Should be a wake-up call for the Thai education system but ....... nah! Just ignore it.
Sorry. I veered off topic.

Having seen the people running the country speaking on TV many times, I go for the low IQ option.handdrummer wrote:I suspect they want to discourage foreigners from living here. Re: 90 day reporting
I haven't bothered to look at the source code recently, but when it was first introduced there were two things that galled me. One was that it only worked with older versions of Internet Explorer. There was nothing in the HTML that required this. Someone just threw it in. That bug was easily defeated by changing your browser's user agent.buksida wrote: ↑Sat Nov 20, 2021 12:39 pm This thread is a testament to that - five years old and over 30 pages long now. The other was that every single keystroke was sent back to the server for a data check. So, filling out the form was incredibly tedious as the page became unresponsive while each character typed was sent to the server to make sure it was appropriate for the field in which you were typing. It may have worked fine if you were in the same room as the server; not so well on a flakey dial-up connection.
Overstay
Went to Immigration in Korat today to do the 90 report that I was prevented from doing online because Immigration records show that I have overstayed my visa. This is wrong.
Korat now has a separate building for 90 day reports. It was empty except for the clerk. She took my passport and quickly entered some data and printed out the 90 day report receipt.
My wife asked her why I couldn't do it online. The clerk said that we could have done it online. Then I showed her a screenshot of the overstay notice.
She thought a moment and said that this was because my last 90 day report was done by the extension of stay people and their database doesn't interface with the 90 day report database. This is, of course, a crock of sh*t. (Forgive my modesty.)
For one thing, the overstay notice appears in the IMM eService app before I have selected the 90 day report option. A slightly different overstay notice appears when I select the 90 day option.
Another thing is that I have done a 90 day report at the same time as my extension of stay for many years now and it never before has prevented me from doing the 90 report online.
I suggested to my wife that we ought to get the overstay problem fixed now. She gave me the look that means she doesn't have time for such nonsense. (Never marry a busy attorney. The clients always come first. If you're a client of my wife, congratulations on having her full attention.) So, I guess we leave it until the next time we have to do a 90 day report in person.
