Good to see that your column is back, albeit with a different name. Now, I have a question for you. Very often at 01.00 a friend of mine says: "Let´s go for one more beer." How come that we always end up having 5 or 10 and I end up getting to bed about the same time as the sun rises and my kids go to school?

I believe the problem lies in your friend not completing the sentence, which should in fact be "Let´s go for one more beer than we can possibly manage." As for the result of these exploits, when challenged by your partner or kids about the time you have arrived home, I always find that "Goodness me! Is that the time? I knew I shouldn't have bought that watch from that hawker..."
