Arsenal very much in the driving seat now. United and, particularly Chelsea, decided to bend over for Arsenal and hand them the win on a platter. Very frustrating for Tottenham fans.

Tottenham still with Liverpool to play. Must win game against an in-form Brentford this evening. Not that hopeful anymore if I'm honest. :(

Arsenal aren't in the driving seat; level on points but with a much better goal difference it's Spurs' 4th place to lose. The crucial game is going to be Spurs v Arsenal on 12 May. If we lose that, we lose 4th place. If we draw, we might just get away with it. Frankly, given the points we've dropped earlier this season, it's amazing that we're still in with a chance!

I'm always hopeful! And while we're at it, let's sign up Eriksen for next season!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but arsenal are now three points ahead. If we can beat Brentford, we are mathematically back in the driving seat but I think arsenal's big two wins against Chelsea and United has swung the momentum in their favour a bit. If we don't beat Brentford, they are very much in the driving seat. :(

True. Nice we're still fighting for something at this point in the season.

What a fairytale ending that would be if he came back to spurs and, maybe even, won a trophy with us. One can only hope.

This doesn't fill me with confidence about today's game either.

These stats are so silly - Spurs have lost all games played on a Thursday when the opposition have scored first, a black cat has crossed the pitch and the ref's shorts have been too tight.

No, scrap that, I am. We have the best front three in the league. No other team even comes close. :D

I totally jinxed it. We haven't had a shot on target for 130 minutes now.

Come on lads, ffs.

The success story of the season can't be anyone else besides Newcastle. They're in 9th place now! How long ago was it that they were in the relegation zone, 2 months? Quite a positive change.

It’s probably 3 months when they were in the relegation area, but it’s truly been a fantastic turnaround - appointing Eddie Howe was definitely the best thing they could have done. A mate of mine in the UK is a die-hard Newcastle supporter, having been born there and even he was looking resigned to playing in the Championship next season, earlier this year - if they had a few more games extra, they’d be knocking on the door to qualify for Europe!!

Very good turnaround indeed but not exactly a Cinderella story.

January spending.

I suppose as an Arsenal fan I should counter the Spurs Love-in on this story. Hope for the best and plan for the worst. I expected one point from the Chelsea Man U games, and Spurs losing two points at Brentford even with the best front three in the Premiership, was the best possible outcome from Saturday`s results. There will be more twists and turns I`m sure, but the NLD will be crucial. I hope a mighty cannon will overcome a gobby chicken on a basketball.

I got there in the end! :D

That cannon needs to be pointing in the right direction.

I recall years ago, coming away from Old Traford relieved to have got a draw. Having just watched that game, I am still scratching my head how we weren't at least 4-0 up at half time! Not good enough really. But on the plus side, James and Jorghino are back to their best.

I know he only had a late cameo, but Lukaku has no place in this Chelsea team.

I don't know the history, but did Manchester United, Arsenal or any other team have the opportunity to get Klopp, and didn't? What a horrendous mistake if they had the chance and ignored it.
