Winkie might have written it wrongly. I've been stopped many times as I've ridden all around Thailand but never been done for something made up apart from HH. Will be in HHthis weekend with my brand new factory stock all legal bike this weekend so will see what happens. Fully agree as well a couple of hundred baht aint no big deal, just smile and pay up. :thumb:
I never forget a face but in your case I'll make an exception!

I learnt this trick in Indonesia where police corruption is much more prevalent than Thailand. Keep a handful of tatty, small denomination bank notes in your glove compartment so that you don’t have to open your wallet in front of the policeman. Their expectations drop somewhat when they see you trying to get together 100baht. Up country a packet of Marlboro will sometimes do the trick.
