Yep, certainly improving as it goes on! :thumb: More Star Trek characters to be brought in for Season 3 - "thoroughly" " ( ) looking forward to that.

The Midwich Cuckoos

I'm just now downloading this from EZTV (it's a Sky series). No idea if it's going to be any good*, but I was a big fan of John Wyndham's books as a youngster and Keira Knightley is usually good, so fingers crossed. There was a film called Village of the Damned based on the book.

For those of you who enjoyed "Outlaws" with Stephen Merchant and Christopher Walken, Season 2 is about to hit the BBC/BBC iPlayer (05.06) and no doubt the usual suspects....

Nice, will also give that a go. I remember reading this one years ago, along with the Triffids and the Kraken.

Can get the first season here: https://www.limetorrents.lol/The-Midwic ... 47357.html

Watched the first episode a while back - have to say, pretty dark. Might give it another go.

The "Village of The Dammed" (a few copies and on "The Twilight Zone") well worth the watch. Will certainly give this one a go.

I've watched the 7 part series of the Midwich Cuckoos and although the last part completed the story, with a bit of imagination there could be a season 2. We'll see.

That's exactly what I thought after first one!

After that I think you'll find it becomes more of a typically good solid TV drama

And even a hint of black comedy in there too

I remember watching it early this year when it first aired on BBC, and although I watched it to the end, it wasn’t (IMO) as good as most of the drams put out by the beeb!!

Tonight I watched the first episode of 6 of a programme called Sherwood on BBC - if you have access I recommend giving it a go - a strong cast led by David Morrissey, Robert Glenister and many other well known British actors - it’s based loosely on events that happened during the 1984 Coal Miners Strike.

Top Gear has just kicked off with a new season with the usual antics from the lads.
