Nationality survey
Nationality survey
Since we have a load of threads revolving around nationality I thought I'd run a little poll just to see who we have on here, could make an interesting comparison to the stats from the web server.
I know I have bunched a few together which may offend but the poll only gives me ten options so ....
It may spawn additional language sections for those members who are not confident enough to post in English for fear of getting chewed up by all the Poms and Limeys on here!

This is not an easy question. Originally I'm Irish/German with a bit of British thrown in. For many years I'll now speak more Thai in a given day than English, eat Thai food and drive a car in a manner that scares the Thai's. I can use a squat toilet with the best of them, eat chilis, and sit crossed legged on a stone floor for hours at a Wat without losing blood circulation. I think we need an "UNKNOWN" category above?

Had a dog like that once Pete! Used to call him "Bitzer', but he liked to chase cars, and do other unmentionable things when he sat cross legged.prcscct wrote:This is not an easy question. Maybe we should go by passport?

May you be in heaven half an hour before the devil know`s you`re dead!
I try to use my Hyatt Hotel passport as much as possible Nereus.
I was thinking of interjecting an "American Day" into the "British Day" thread but decided against it. If there was such a thing I'd hate to see the results.
I simply read bad news everyday and watch Bush's rope get shorter and shorter leading up to November '08. Unfortunately he's going to accelerate his nonsense from now until then as we today see in the G8 summit, criticizing everything, rejecting most of everything, and doing it with the oratory skills of a skid row bum.
No one needs to tell me I should embarrassed. Things will get better, I hope. If not, the world is in big trouble. At least I still have the freedom to say what I think, I hope. We'll see if men in sunglasses show up here?
These past few years I lean more and more on my 1/4 Irish-1/2 German and 1/4 English heritage. Sad but true, I've had it. Unfortunately, not many in American see what we see and understand by living outside of America. It ain't Miss America Pie anymore. Pete

I was actually thinking more on the lines of a German section but that doesn't look too promising either.STEVE G wrote:I'm heartened to see that from the results of the poll so far, we are unlikely to be seeing a French section on HHAD in the near future.
Looks like we'll have to do more for the Brits then

Makes no difference, the readership stats are continually climbing, in fact last month was HHAD's highest with over 45,000 readers. It seems that 90% of this forum are "silent readers".Wanderlust wrote:maybe this poll should be conducted in the high season rather than the low season?
