Sherwood - BBC
it may have been mentioned.
A real look at how life in the UK is still coming to terms with events that happens decades ago.
Northern mining riots and community murders. British dramas like this are always hard to watch but very very well done.
Reminds me a little bit of Shane Meadows’ style, in the sense of coming close to real life scenarios that most of us from those parts can relate to.
Yes mentioned a few posts above - I enjoyed the series very much and they’ve announced that a 2nd series has been commissioned, presumably for viewing next year!!
Re Sherwood..... I thought the overall production and most of the acting was of a very good standard indeed.
However I just felt the plot itself didn't really match those standards.

I'd watch the second series for sure though

It’s mainly in relation to what else is on offer and IMO, Sherwood was head and shoulders above most of what else was available at the time. Without searching for downloads or paying for subscription services, it’s a case of choosing between what’s available. I’d agree that there have been better programmes in the past, in fact due to the low availability of good programmes we’re watching the rerun of the entire Line Of Duty series at the moment on BBC iPlayer.
Was keen to watch it as this was Clare Danes' first role after 10 years of Homeland(probably my all time no.1 favourite series, in which she and others excelled IMO)
Rather like Sherwood, i thought the production and acting were very good. But the storyline was not really for me. I guess it just follows the romantic novel upon which its based
So it only gets a 7/10 for me
Im enjoying Black Bird and will report on that soon

If you have a sick sense of humor "the boys" just released the third season. Plenty of gore, dark humor.
Just started this one, 5 episodes in. Right up my alley, this. That first scene with A-Train and Hughie's girlfriend grabbed my full attention straight away.
I have just completed Season 1 of Tokyo Vice (8 episodes). A drama based on criminal Tokyo gangs as seen by an American reporter working for a big Japanese newspaper.
For me it got off to a slow start but then seemed to shift gears and the ensuing plot seemed clearer and very well presented.
And whilst not rip roaring action it's very solid indeed.
I'm so damn late to the party on this one (been mentioned a few times on the forum) but, with the hoohah going on recently due to its final episode, decided to whack on season one today. Finished the 10 episodes of season 1 today.
Better Call Saul
What a cracker. No idea why it took me so long to watch as I bloody loved Breaking Bad. I've now got another 53 episodes to keep me busy...
I don't trust children. They're here to replace us.

Yes, it's a slow burner but well worth it
In contrast to you I have precisely one episode left to watch of the whole series.
