Was very good but, to be honest, after watching the amazing documentary 'The Rescue' I'd kind of seen it all already. And actual footage, not Hollywood.Lost wrote: ↑Sat Aug 06, 2022 6:07 am The Thai cave rescue movie, Thirteen Lives, is out. A few big names in it with the legendary Ron Howard directing. Long one at almost 2 and a half hours, but I don't think Ron's ever done a movie that wasn't brilliant.

Re: The Recommended Movies Thread
Thanks for your opinion. I was wondering if the movie would be somehow 'better' than the documentary which was excellent (even the reenactments were pretty good). I only watched The Rescue a few weeks ago so might leave the movie aside for a few months.Lost wrote:Was very good but, to be honest, after watching the amazing documentary 'The Rescue' I'd kind of seen it all already. Yeah, I'd leave it to watch for a bit if I was you. The documentary, for me, is quite a bit better so you may be disappointed watching the movie so soon after.hhinner wrote: ↑Tue Aug 09, 2022 7:19 pmThanks for your opinion. One word " Elvis"
For any music fans this is a must watch.
Its a bit long but loved every minute of it, I did go to the cinema to see and that always make movies better.

I thought Prey was very good. Wonderfully gory in parts. A worthy addition to the Predator franchise.pharvey wrote: ↑Thu Aug 11, 2022 4:33 amWell, watched this with the LHG tonight and literally wet ourselves - great fun and thoroughly recommended!Lost wrote: ↑Tue Aug 02, 2022 2:33 pm Good one for all the family out today. Out today, and just finished watching: Day Shift.
Was good, I enjoyed it. Action. Vampires. Gore-fest fight scenes. Comedy. Jamie Foxx. A Snoop Dogg appearance. What's not to like?

Orphan: First Kill digital release date is Friday. Time to watch (or rewatch) the excellent original movie 'Orphan' before then. A very (edit: removed the second 'very' so as not to big it up too much
) good horror.
