Yup.... Just had a quick look. Have waited to see this, but may well just wait a little longer. Have a few others to watch and to be honest, the hard subs do spoil things..... :(
Incase you missed my edit on previous page Pete, the unsubtitled version should be about in 6 days. Not too long a wait. Though I'm tempted to just watch the subtitled one today, been looking forward it and am an impatient bugger. :D
Well I've waited for the movie minus the hard subs, gone back to YTS and it seems to have disappeared completely - haven't deleted the earlier download though thankfully!!
Supposed to be coming tomorrow, 23rd.

Here a few hours early. 1080 just coming through. After somewhat of a dry spell, I actually have too much I want to watch at the moment which is nice.

We watched the 2009 version a couple of days ago, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Not classic (scary) horror, but very good all the same. Loved the clever twist, and looking forward to the new version soon. Thank you.

Saw it on YTS earlier, so may just give it a go.

Glad you enjoyed it BB. A very underrated film in my opinion. The new one is a prequel, following 'Esther's' earlier years. A better rotten tomatoes score (lower imbd) but I preferred the first.

Jordan Peele's (Us, Get Out) third movie is out - Nope. Horror/Sci fi. Been really looking forward to this one. Some mixed reviews, just sticking it on will report back in a bit.

Nope (1080 is just coming through, couldn't wait got mine from PB)

Get Out for any who haven't watched it yet. An excellent horror, watch it! :D

Enjoyed it! A slow burner this one with a lot of build up work. Really gets going just after the hour mark. Well worth a watch in my opinion, but others may disagree.

NOBODY (2021)

Bit late but just watched this as someone told me to watch and I was curious to see Bob Odenkirk(Better Call Saul/Breaking Bad) in this type of role.

However, this for me is almost certainly the worst film I've ever seen where the lead character was played by a seriously good actor.

Just can't put it any better than that.

Topgun: Maverick
Big Boy wrote: Mon Aug 22, 2022 8:59 pm We watched the movie, and soon forgot the subs were there. A very good movie, but I definitely preferred the first.
After watching the excellent opening scenes a week ago, I decided this one was definitely worth waiting for the 4k and sticking it on the ol' big screen in the VR headset.

Watched this morning. Absolutely fan-bloody-tastic, I thought! 11/10. Best movie I've seen for quite some time. Years maybe. I've no comparison to make with the first movie as am yet to watch it, but will be doing so in the very near future.

Fall (2022)

For best friends Becky and Hunter, life is all about conquering fears and pushing limits. However, after they climb 2,000 feet to the top of a remote, abandoned radio tower, they find themselves stranded with no way down. Now, their expert climbing skills are put to the ultimate test as they desperately fight to survive the elements, a lack of supplies, and vertigo-inducing heights.

Full in your face nail biter. I read some stories that viewers had to pause so they could recover!

Thoroughly recommended.

Not my type of film really, but I watched it the other night

If you like high intensity action and plenty of gung ho bravado, excess male testosterone, some tragedy mixed in with some romance, then this is probably as good as it gets in that bracket

But a fitting sequel I thought.

Good Night and good luck(2005)

If you're interested in modern American political history, as I am, then I can recommend this film.

It focuses on McCarthyism and the witchhunt against perceived Communism in the early 50's

Directed by and starring George Clooney but the lead character is played by David Strathairn who is quite superb

8.5/10

Thor: Love and Thunder is out. 1080 just coming through. Not great reviews but I've really enjoyed all the other Thors so will definitely give it a whirl.
