Newbie on the block!

Hi all! I'm new here and as Green as the Grass!
I'm a Brit - been living in Dubai for the past 20 years and close (I hope) to moving to live in Thailand. I'll be visiting Hua Hin either later this month (June) or next month to 'check it out' as a place to live.
I've visited the usual places (BKK - Phuket) and in April 07 I went to Chiang Mai for a few weeks to see if I could be happy living there - it will be interesting to see how Hua Hin compares.
I've had a good look around on your comprehensive 'expathuahin' website and admit it looks a very impressive place to spend whatever years I may have left in me - there appears to be plenty going on!!
Looking forward to meeting some of you resident guys (and gals !!) soonish....

I'm new here and not familiar yet with the 'system' - or how to join in a thread. I found your 'welcome'message by pure luck!!
I note you live in Canada - but I assume you are a frequent visitor to Hua Hin?
I have ticked the BOX which says: "Notify me when a reply is posted" - I'm not sure how this works (or if it's working?) because I wasn't notified when you kindly responded to my very first posting.

The best tips I can give you is once you are logged into the forum and have the main forum index page displayed, click the link that says 'View posts since last visit'. Also, once you have that page displayed, each thread title has a small arrow pointing to the right at a page icon before it - click on that and you will get the most recent post on that thread since your last visit displayed, rather than clicking on the thread title and having to wade through previously read posts. Hope that improves your HHAD experience!

If you scroll to the top of this page you will see a header named Profile. Just click on that, and amend to your hearts content.
