Hello All

Would like to know what the law is on soon to be expat buying a new or used car. Moving out in February and was wondering about road tax legal ownership etc, Could someone out there please help . Still a Novice HHADer but trying to learn :

The amount of tax is dependent on the type of car you want, sedan, pick-up, age of the car, 2 doors or 4 doors etc.
Think the road tax can vary between 5000-15000 Bt dependent on the type of car.
As long as you have proof that you have an address in Thailand you can buy a car in your own name. You will need a Yellow house book or a statement from the police that you actually live where you claim to live.
