Canvas framers/art studio in town?
Canvas framers/art studio in town?
Hi, are there any artists studios/picture framers still in the town centre? I used to go to UU but they've moved, and I can't find a similar place. I'm looking to get a couple of existing paintings put on canvas frames as well as maybe commissioning new artwork. If possible, hoping not to have to trudge out to Artists’ Village, but if I have to do you have any recommendation(s) there? Should appreciate any pointers. TIA

Past Khao Tao. Apart from other stuff I’d like done, I have a really big canvas frame painting that I want to have one side cut off. At its current size it won’t fit in my car and I don’t want to inconvenience my neighbour who kindly mentioned they could drop it off in town for me in their pick-up.

Ah, okay. I wont suggest a place in Cha am then! I am sure others will be along in due course to recommend places in Hua Hin.

There's a framer in Hua Hin 55/1 (or used to be any way - haven't been there recently).
Re: Canvas framers/art studio in town?
This is the place. Heading to Cha am, it's the first turning on the left past the very first set of lights when you reach Cha am town itself. Immediately after the public footbridge. There is still some roadworks going on and new drainage being fitted, but you can turn left into the road, but with care. Then it's about 250 metres on the left, past the first road on your left.
Artists from Hua Hin do use this framer and it helps if you have a Thai speaker. First time I went, a then local Hua Hin Thai artist took me there, after that, I have just about managed on my own.
This should help you find it.

Thank you from me too, Caller. That’s actually really useful and I’ll be going there to get my smaller artwork framed. The big one can wait…

Guys in the last week I went looking for the place in cha am and the place soi 55/1 I could not find any framers in those locations.
I definitely was in the correct location
Are we sure they are still open?
Meanwhile still looking for reliable framer

Tomorrow (6th) is a holiday, chakri day. Next week Songkran. So opening times may be limited for now.ahandpatsy wrote:That's good news must just have been shut when I tried. Thanks for letting us know

Had my picture framed on soi 55/1 yesterday and they did a brilliant job. Recommend 100%. Fast not too pricey and great communication. Picture proudly hanging on wall now.
