Local Erection
With all this talk of much needed new shopping malls, Big C, Carrefour, Robinson's, Foodland, the Tailors Emporium et al I thought I write up what I heard yesterday from some bloke in the pub who is the top land dealer in Hua Hin.
The Disney Land project is going ahead as planned with Thailand's largest shopping Mall and entertainment complex built alongside.
The shopping mall will house a Big C and Carrefour, A DIY shop, A 2 level Tailors store where you can get measured up and collect the suit within one week, a 100 seater Beauty Salon, a whole floor of estate agents stores, Internet cafes and prestigious coffee shops and ice cream parlors.
There will be a whole floor of horseshoe bars fully stocked with hostesses and playing the latest techno mixes on 10,000 watt amps. On the top floor there will be a 10 screen cinema showing all the latest action films many of which are not released in the West.
To get to it the Government will be going a head with the long time planned high speed railway link from Hualumpong enabling travel from Bangkok to the complex in a mere 3 hours.
The project known as Moo Bin Paradise will be opened by the new year.
Can anyone else throw any light on this exciting new development does everybody agree that this will be a massive boost to Hua Hin.
Can't wait.

Is it right that the entrance to Disneyland is going to be incorporated within the complex, and a high speed mono-rail will depart every 2 minutes to the park?
Also is there going to be a high speed boat link across the lake between the new complex and the theme park?
I agree, it will be a world class facility, long overdue for a developing resort such as Hua Hin.
Just one question though - will they sell ham? Or will I still have to travel to Cha-am for that?

One week is a bit long! I'd heard that you'd get measured before your day at the theme park, and your suit would be waiting for you on the way home.A 2 level Tailors store where you can get measured up and collect the suit within one week

Yes the monorail will do all those things. It will double up as a hydrofoil for crossing the vast stretches of water.
Pete will be pleased to know that this all connect with the cross gulf high speed link to Pattaya.
I thought the week for a suit sounded too long. I thing you are right Big Boy it must be same day as they will have fierce competition from the two tailor shops already established on the Hua Hin Promenade.
As for the drinking, I do not indulge except for lashings of tea. I have recently been using some imported from England and they are more tasty than the local Lipton's Yellow Label. No side effects though.
The guy that brought me the tea bags also brought me some organic mushrooms which I had with some English Bacon, Sausage and Eggs this morning.
As for the Ham counter I understand there will be a full delicatessen in both stores including a section (Halal Heaven) that caters for Islamic Sausages and Bacon.

Hallo there Guess
Errr I feel like the area around Cha Am/Hua Hin/Pranburi is expiriencing a boom similar to what Pattaya had expirienced 25 to 30 years ago!
The idea of becoming Thailands New Riviera is strengthened by the Idea of the New Thailand's largest Mall and Condo's and housing Projects being erected @ a break Neck speed.
Guess does this bloke/ the Land dealer said something where the Location of this Mall and Theme Park would be?

Whilst we're on the subject of the Disney lake, did he say how many varieties of giant fish it was going to be stocked with? Should be worth a trip from Bangkok, just for the fishing.
I'm glad that you mentioned that - I was wondering whether the bloke in the pub said whether the channel from the sea to the Disney lake was going to be tidal, or whether they would be spoiling the appearance of Hua Hin with some ugly lock gates?Pete will be pleased to know that this all connect with the cross gulf high speed link to Pattaya.

I must have been talking to the same bloke - he also said that as part of the deal they are going to replace all the drains in the area and train the local constabulary how to control traffic as well as doubling their salaries. Also the complex will include a first class international school and university, both of which will charge half of what existing schools and universities charge, and the fees include free entrance to the theme park.
I dont suppose by any chance that the bloke in the pub just happens to have several 100 rai of land around megaworld that he is offering for sale at a very good rate!.
And how exactly is it going to be built in six months?.
On which floor are the go-go bars and the flying pig show.
GUESS: That herbal tea aint doing ya no good get back on the Hineys
