Re: Premier League 2023-24
I'd love to know how that law would be worded: "It is okay to kick another player unless it is dangerous".
I remember the Beckham sending off very clearly. Entirely his own fault and he thoroughly deserved it, although technically I don't think you can be sent off for crass stupidity. I also remember the Rooney sending off against Portugal, which was another matter altogether. Take a look at this video and follow it through to the shot of Ronaldo winding him up before the game even started. Ronaldo, gifted but a complete tosser.

Perhaps use the words of De Zerbi?:dtaai-maai wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2024 10:40 pm I'd love to know how that law would be worded: "It is okay to kick another player unless it is dangerous".

He grumbled about the referee, Michael Salisbury, and felt that Simon Adringra was denied a penalty after a tackle by Malo Gusto.
“The referee, I didn’t like him today,” De Zerbi said. “I don’t think it was a good performance from him. I didn’t like the personality or the control of the game.
“I’m sorry for the red card of James because I think it was a normal reaction if you have played in your life football, it can happen this reaction but the penalty of Adingra was clear. On television it’s more clear.”
This looks terrible now, doesn't it. I don't think it even got a booking. Turns out Ederson has a broken eye socket - and he was angry about being taken off!
Talk is cheap

Well, well well. I must say I'm enjoying the drama. Hammers get another and Arse take the lead... the gunners are champions!
More exciting than a city landslide but I hope the bloody end result is a good one.

In other news, spurs seem to have avoided Chelsea finishing above them.

One more goal and United can climb out of a negative goal difference for the season. Finish on zero.
