Bluport adds convention hall to Hua Hin mall

Hua Hin Asset, the developer and operator of Bluport Hua Hin Resort Mall, is adding a 3,000-square-metre convention hall to attract new target visitors and tenants, aiming to boost occupancy to 90% and reach the break-even point within three years........

I'm sure they've done their market research, and it must have been positive to produce such occupancy results. I hope their pricing regime doesn't let them down.

My son tried to rent a small area for 1 week earlier this this year, and tried many likely venues. Bluport was one of the few to respond, but cost was prohibitive.

What my son's quest did show, however, is such facilities in Hua Hin are as rare as rocking horse droppings. At the time he also wrote to several hotels asking for accommodation. Not 1 hotel even did him the courtesy of replying.

Whats quite funny about this, is that when Bluport was still at the planning stage, and they were in partnership with The Mall Group, this is exactly what they wanted to do, plus other ideas, that take a Mall beyond just being a shopping centre. Such plans were knocked back because of concerns about how these would impact on the services at hotels and water park already in operation and owned by the other partner. Seems he has learnt a lesson.
