Has anybody been in the last few weeks? If so, are the flowers in bloom? I want to have another look, but its a long way to go if the flowers aren't in bloom. Usually, people start posting photos of the blooms on social media, but I've not seen anything this year yet.

I was planning a trip tomorrow, but Mr. Google is advising me to wait until February/March.

As I mentioned somewhere earlier, lotuses are blooming in Macau in August. They had started to bloom already in late June/early July and I should think, there is not much difference to Thailand. I can tell you more about the situation in Macau next week as I will be flying there via Hong Kong this coming weekend.

Yes, this is why I thought it should be about now. I went in January, and there were just a couple of blooms. Enquiries at the time suggested mid-August would be good. Usually, when it is in bloom, there are loads of photos on Social Media. I've seen nothing since my January visit.

It's not the journey, or the time that bothers me too much. It's having to pay 200฿ to get in, if there are no blooms.

It really is a dilemma - it's something I want to see, but I begrudge the entrance fee if the time is wrong.

Doesn't the park have any phone number where you wife could call and ask?

Gmap's reviews not very encouraging. You may want to hold of on visiting ...

Thank you, that was very helpful. Definitely not going today.

BG - trying to phone the park has been like trying to raise the dead. Will keep trying though to find out best time to visit.

Everything online states they are open. That aside, one of the comments on Google Maps states boats do not run again until September. My next visit will include the boat trip.

I'm entertaining 2 groups of visitors at the moment, and today's excursion included the Phraya Nakhon Cave and Bueng Bua Wood Boardwalk. I'd promised myself the Bueng Bua boat trip on my next visit. Absolutely loved the trip, and the blossoms were about 50% in bloom.

That's another one off the list :D

What I should add is there were very few to see from the boardwalk, but the boat driver took us through the lotus flower beds.
