Interesting, did it say "Inelligible Payee" can you recall?

No. It said something like ‘unable to process’. This is the third time it has happened to me in about the last six months. All of those transactions were around midnight.
Ok, glad it's not just my phone then...

When I had this problem I only observed it in two bars in Soil 94. I tried both WiFi and 5G. Same problem.

Also, make sure no VPN is running on your phone. This can cause issues with some phone banking apps

On Monday at 18.00 a friend of mine and I went to Villa Market to buy booze for a party

Both of our Bangkok Bank apps failed to work, mine 3 times. We had to pay cash

Earlier that day I was somewhere else where if failed once but worked second time(cant remember where now)

It's fast becoming a pain in the ass!

Banking apps - scan to pay time limits?

Post by NOKYAI »

I had a weird situation at Tonic and Ginger a few months ago. I decided to pay by Q code and when I scanned the Q code it came up with some name I didn't recognise. I showed this to the waitress and asked if this was correct. She looked confused and said no. I tried again, same thing, I even tried a different bank, same thing.in the end I payed cash. But potentially someone could find their bank account topped up by a nice amount every night!
Enjoying 'Retirement'....So many jobs to do, I don't know how I ever had time to work!

Two points.

1. Obviously it's the proprietor's name that comes up(not necessarily the business trading name) but as they didn't recognise that then that's fishy I agree

2. I paid by Q code in there about 6 weeks ago and no issues so they may have sorted it
