Head colds
I posted this earlier today but not sure why it was not posted. I have been living in Thailand for a few years, I get head colds almost every 2 months? That ladt about 21 days.i take vitamin C tablets orange juice plenty of water but still get way too many colds.bCk in my for.er country I got 1 a year. Hopefully a kind .ember can assist in what I need.many thanks
Re: Head colds
I used to have the same problem until I stopped using aircon overnight.
It might sound horrendous sleeping with the aircon all night, but try it, and save a stack of cash at the same time. It worked for me.

Re: Head colds
You have no idea how much sleep can influence your immunity. I would guess that you don't sleep enough since you get sick so often. From experience, if I don't sleep well for a week, I get a cold instantly, and I have a very healthy lifestyle. So make sure you sleep at least 7-8 hours; that way, your body can function correctly and get the rest it needs

I don't use air con much at all mostly just my fan,but start with a sore throat, runny hooter ghen a cough.thank you all for your replies, taking paracetamol seems to sort it a bit but a month or so on its back
Re: Head colds
I don't get them that often and rarely take any pills or meds, but Tiffy is quite effective for head colds and congestion.

Re: Head colds
I had this some time ago - after testing it proved to be allergy-related - maybe worth checking out.....maccastime wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2024 9:39 am I don't use air con much at all mostly just my fan,but start with a sore throat, runny hooter ghen a cough.thank you all for your replies, taking paracetamol seems to sort it a bit but a month or so on its back
Re: Head colds
Fair enough. I thought I'd mention it because I know several people who are the same as me, and always suffer regular colds with overnight aircon.

Re: Head colds
Have you tried taking a daily antihistamine? Just a basic 10mg cetirizine will probably do.

Re: Head colds
I bet it has to be something that lowers your immune system, so we have to figure out what that thing is

Which as already suggested will require a visit to a professional to help identify the cause.

Yeah, I was thinking that too; running some blood tests should do the job.
