I see the Spain manager also managed their U21s before full squad

At least make Carsley Assistant Manager

Looks like Carsley will get the next two fixtures at least....

I think first and foremost the powers want a politically savvy manager, someone who says the right thing at the right time. Southgate was perfect for them. That rules out potentially volatile managers. Potter fits the bill and although tactically conservative, I think he would be willing to experiment more with lineups, maybe.

I always wanted to see Cloughie as England manager, he'd set the cat amongst the pigeons....

I've got a feeling we will follow the Spanish model, and indeed our own model as GS was U21 Manager

I make no apologies for repeating that Carsley won the U21 Euros without conceding a goal! The players likely to play a part going forward clearly like him.

According to reports Tuchel is in pole position for the England job. Tricky having a German in charge, but I'd certainly welcome the appointment :D

Surely Pep is number one choice so how can TT be in pole position?

So long as Pep doesn't officially say no it's his job!

Yes Pep is the number one choice, for everyone I'd imagine, but that's not gonna happen for some time if ever.

Out of contract in May

Don't see why a deal can't be done before Xmas and announced. They have been before.

Carsley just carries on meantime

I just don't seriously believe the TT talk until Pep rules himself out

Southgate Resigns/Who Will Replace

I’m not sure whether the FA could afford Pep? I’m sure most people would be happy for him to be appointed, but I’m not sure he’s ready to leave City at the end of the year, never mind how much he might cost?

But he wouldn't be able to throw money at the procurement of new players - where would he get his new talent from?
Championship Plymouth Argyle 1 - 2 Leeds Utd

Points 46; Position 23 RELEGATED

England now has some of the best players in the World and is churning out new exciting talent all the time. It's more a case of who do you exclude? Something Carsley hasn't mastered yet. Would England have won the WC in 66 if Ramsey had played our best striker? It was a problem even then. Only the brave succeed.

Tuchel has completed the agreement to become new England manager. That happened quick. 😃

And BB had only just stepped off his "Soapbox" apparently. How long until '66 is mentioned again.... DOH! The odd post above it seems.
