Hmm, I'm not exactly dancing in the street, but I'm willing to give him a chance.Thomas Tuchel agrees to become England manager
This is the way
Re: Southgate Resigns/Who Will Replace
There are no suitable English managers available right now. It's as simple as that.
All this talk of Potter, Howe and others is missing the point. None have had any real top level success. Southgate exceeded expectations, but ultimately was more of a hindrance than anything. In the circumstances, there was little choice other than to look elsewhere.
On saying that, I am not sure about Tuchel, in as much has he already peaked? The way he left his last couple of clubs was unsatisfactory, but he has delivered at the highest level. His time at Chelsea petered out as much to do with personal reasons (split with wife) as the fact new owners had come in, who seemed intent of removing most things linked to Abramovich. But he has experience in English football at the highest level, and just look at the players he has to choose from.

Talk is cheap

One of the best knockout tournament coaches of this generation. Personally, I'm buzzing. A surprisingly brave appointment by the FA, Tuchel isn't a 'yes man'.
I don't trust children. They're here to replace us.

It might very well all end it tears again, it usually does, but I can't bloody wait for the world cup now. An elite manager is at the helm.

Wasn't very elite at Bayern Munich recently where he failed miserably.Lost wrote:It might very well all end it tears again, it usually does, but I can't bloody wait for the world cup now. An elite manager is at the helm.
And with your mate upfront too!
Nineteen points short in a title race they normally walk....
Just saying...
