We received our first water bill today under the new, improved system. The bill is charging for the periods where we have already paid by visiting the water office to continue paying bills while the system has been down. What a mess - thankfully, we've retained the receipts. We now have to visit the office to argue that we've already paid :banghead:

Just to put closure to this, my son visited the office earlier this week, and without producing any interim receipts, he handed over the bill and asked them to double check. Without any argument, they apologised, and said we only owed 25% of what was being asked for on the bill that had been delivered to us.

Apologies if this has been covered off elsewhere (if so could someone add a link?). But...having had our water paid on direct debit each month as usual, we now have our first bill under this new system. Does anyone know if the HHSmart app is available anywhere? I've searched Google Play and Apple App Store and can't find anything about this?

We just received the new water bill. There is a QR code, but the print is of so poor quality so I do not know if it is for payment through bank app. Will not scan by my state of the art phone! Anyone else tried? Maybe still have to go to the office to pay???

The QR code links to a YouTube clip of the new app. The app that appears not to exist.

Thank you. I cracked it. My Google account was linked to the UK and the HHSmart app is not available in the UK store. I had to change my country of residence for Google to Thailand, and then the app appeared in Play Store.

Are you saying people who previously paid with direct debit have had the DD cancelled and have to pay manually now under the new system?

I also received my first 'new' bill last week which also shows the previous month hasn't been paid.

So today I went to the water office, new bill in hand and 104 baht in change. I was met with smiling service, and the message that you already pay automatically via the bank. Good news, I hope. Seems there will be teething problems until the app and the direct debit get coordinated, but it should be that those who pay by DD will continue to do so.
