Overfilled 1.5 litre water bottles - humour!

Post by 404cameljockey »

Some brands worse than others, especially those brands with very flimsy plastic bottles, but it has annoyed me for over ten years. 7-Eleven aren't the only culprits!

No kidding. It is a bit ridiculous, isn't it. Just give me a few millimeters of air space so I can keep my lap dry.

Christmas presents

Post by dtaai-maai »

Now, I must begin by saying that these days Christmas is a bit of a chore. Anyway, I'm taking the easy way out with pressies this year, giving my daughter and my sister a bundle of cash (about £40 do you think?) to get gifts to their assorted offspring from me.

However, I do have something very special lined up for my brother-in-law, who is a serious heavy metal fan, and every time I think about his face when he opens it I start to chuckle: a 2025 Cliff Richard calendar.
This is the way

The mulled wine may have been poured early in the DM household this year...

I asked artificial intelligence to make a connection between the title of the thread and DM's post via an image.

(Mods: put DM out of his misery and start the 'Xmas presents' thread with his post as he likely intended )

I just googled that to see how bad it could be and what shocked me was that there are loads of different ones.
I suppose it's due to the market for ironic Christmas presents!

Not a water bottle but has anyone tried to open a 1.5 L bottle of Coca Cola recently. The volume of liquid is OK but they have overfilled it with gas. The bottle is rock solid. I first discovered the problem after buying a bottle in Lotus’s and taking it home in the motorbike. I opened it after an hour in the fridge and it exploded shooting Coke about 10’ out of the bottle and all over the ceiling and walls. The bottle was left half empty. Now I take extra care. I open it outside and it still loudly goes POP when the gas is released. Someone should write to the Guardian about this 🤪
