Hua Hin off road competition

Post by buksida »

Take the opportunity to see the off road champions of Thailand competing for the Off Road Trophy and Princess Somsavali's Cup.

The event takes place on the 29th and 30th July at Kan Klong ("48 rai" along the canal road, near Karat Village), Hua Hin, signposted from Cha Am and Hua Hin.

Entertainment and food will be available together with booths trading and selling car accessories, health products and Jatukarm.

The event is organised by the Offroaders Federation of Thailand.

She's the Princess who lives over here between Pattaya and Jomtien, the Prince's first wife.

Up until about 5 years ago she drove a red Suzuki just like in the above photo, minus the off road gear/tires/jacked up chassis etc. Now she drives a Land Rover.

She would buzz all over the place, including Foodland, where everyone would have to stop shopping until she was finished. She was very approachable though.

I would imagine she may show up for the event down there. Pete

Plenty of action this afternoon at the offroad fest, great day for gearheads and anyone wanting to do something slightly different. Events will be held tomorrow too.

That is my neighbour's pickup and it's me driving it.
You turned up too late today, Monsta, to see me taking part. :D
It wasnt a bad day though. Not as busy as I was expecting, but tomorrow will probably be the big one. The TV cameras were turning up as we left.
Unfortunately, my neighbour needs her vehicle to get back to BKK tomorrow, so I won't be taking part again.
