Yes, she was worried about using the post! Now she's worried she used Kerry!

Well, it got to Hua Hin overnight, and is now out for delivery. Not bad for a due date of 14th August.

These false delivery dates are increasingly becoming a problem. Many suppliers are now offering compensation if items don't arrive on time. I must say, if a supplier has offered compensation for late delivery, the item has always arrived on time, so far. Maybe this is something new that we all need to look for when buying online.

I just bought some items from a seller in Chiang Mai who uses Flash Express to deliver. Does anyone have any experience of Flash?

Thanks

Yes, they're as good as anybody else. Usually reliable.

My wife has sent about 6 parcels from HH to Bangkok this year, all went via Flash, all arrived next morning.

Well, my little package arrived about 15.30, from Bkk, and two days late. Not good by Kerry.

Thanks. It's good to know there's a reliable alternative to Kerry.

I've just had my first failed guaranteed delivery i.e. guaranteed delivery by 26 Aug. A little window has popped up on the tracking screen inviting me to take my cash reward - thank you very much. That was shopping with Shopee.

FFS :banghead:

I wrote to the company, and asked why the item had been packed and awaiting despatch for several days. They came back to me and said, "Sorry the item is not in stock. We do not know when new stock will arrive." I have since cancelled the item.

Advancing the item on the tracking chart was obviously an illusion to keep me interested whilst awaiting delivery, probably from China.

WARNING: SPX Express courier service unable to cope with December rush

Post by 404cameljockey »

Don't use them, a parcel sent to me on 16th Dec from Bangkok is still in an SPX centre somewhere, I've been checking their tracking service. They sent me an email saying that deliveries are later than expected this month.

As Shopee's own delivery service, they are clearly prioritising deliveries of purchases made on the Shopee app/website over parcels sent privately.

Kerry is the way forward, always has been for me.

Kerry has changed it's name, and it's approach to their business. Some details below:

Yes thanks I couldn't remember the new name and everyone will always still call them Kerry I'm sure!

I haven't noticed any difference in their parcel service, I drop my parcels at the small office near Makro and they are handled the same. It's just a rebranding, as far as my needs go. They did close the very large branch on Petch Road a few months ago though.

A friend recently used Flash to send a fair-sized box of books (so it was weighty) from Hua Hin to Pattaya. It cost 60 Baht, very reasonable I think.
