So you're just going to gloss over the Everton result then are you Lost?

Are they keeping Ange for the cups?

I think the only surprise from yesterday’s results was how easily Bournemouth beat Forest - they had both been in good form of late, but it was mainly one-way traffic to the home side. Elsewhere, Man City beat Chelsea fairly comfortably, despite Chelsea taking an early lead and Liverpool continued their good run beating Ipswich 4-1

Everton winning at Brighton was a surprise to me(a pleasant one at that).

Liverpool have to go to Bournemouth next Sat, will be very interested to see how that goes!

Only going by the stats, Everton were very fortunate - Brighton had almost 70-30 possession and 16 shots against 3 - I guess that’s what having a new manager does!!

Might start watching the league again if we get in a proper relegation battle so it's a little more interesting... :thumb:

As it stands, not interested.

^ I've just been watching a program (connected only to Wendyball by food), but it appears that Tottenham Hotspur are also known as the "Lilywhites" - it did make me giggle on various levels I must admit... So it's not only English Rugby then DM :neener:

Actually yes, always interested in a spot of history. "Bible Reading Cricketers" wouldn't have been prominent in my my mind for how the club began... Not to mention they actually won (very decent) trophies! But hell, their "Glory Years" are further back than those of Welsh Rugby!! :D :duck:

Premier League 2024-25

I’m sorry to say that I’m old enough to remember them in their 60/70’s hay-days when the likes of Blanchflower, Greaves, Peters, Gilzean, Chivers, Mackay, Jennings and many more graced their team. In fact if you look at the attached, the list of names of their players are quite amazing - lots and lots of talent, including two of the most gifted players to have ever graced the game in Hoddle and Gascoine!!

^ Well, I didn't follow the link - can't say I was really there in the 60's, but then again many who were actually there could say the same!!

I can say though that one of my clear memories of Gascoigne was in THAT FA Cup Final where he scored a "Wonder Goal" and followed it up with a clueless/idiotic/reckless tackle that killed his career. Though I guess "7 Bellies" was it? Enjoyed the time in Lazio for a while afterwards.

Incredibly talented sportsman who wasted his God given talent - but of course the "leaches" that he attracted are guilty as hell.

I only watched yesterday’s games on BBC MOTD highlights, but from what I saw, Liverpool were fortunate to win 2-0, I wouldn’t say that Bournemouth were the better team but Liverpool never looked in control. Couldn’t say that about Forest, who thumped Brighton 7-0. Even Everton looked good value for their 4-0 win against Leicester. Newcastle hit the woodwork at least two times losing 1-2 against Fulham, but they didn’t play well so can’t really complain.

Big game today is Arsenal at home against Man City - a win for City would make Liverpool odds on favourites to lift the trophy come the end of the season.

Re LFC can't speak for game overall but it was never a penalty.

Watched the Tru Visions highlights on YouTube about 4 mins long.

If you study the replay of the pen, first keep your eyes on the defender - he never touches the attacker. Then watch again and focus on the attacker's legs. He CLEARLY trips over himself. It's 'clear and obvious'.

Why didn't VAR intervene as they did to disallow the B'mouth equaliser?
