Dates when no alcohol sold in Hua Hin

I must admit that every time this thread raises its head I have to chuckle - it might be a little bit outdated in this day and age, but for some it seems closer to the end of the world!!

I must say, one time when I was here on holiday (2005, from memory), it truly did seem like the end of the world. Whilst visiting on holiday, outside of bars, following my evening meal, there was absolutely zilch to do in Hua Hin.

The restaurants and bars in the night market have, in my experience, always continued to serve alcohol on Buddha no alcohol days.

Also all the restaurants on the beach usually continue to serve alcohol

Help me out please Guys,
Bit confused about Thursday 17th and Wan Awk Phansa.
Arriving with a young family into BKK at 6.00 AM so hoping
to be in HH by 10.00 - 10.30.
Is anything around Poonsuk - Bintabaht going to be open or
better still the beach boys at Khao Takiab.
We know HH pretty well & can find our way about but can't
get into our Villa until 2.00pm so we're looking to settle in somewhere
for lunch & refreshments (alcohol not essential) after a long trip from London
and loaded with luggage.

It will be business as usual, but no alcohol. As has been suggested, the beach bars at Takiab will most likely sell you a beer if you need one.

We normally stay in hotels but are doing an AirBNB this time & I don't need a grumpy family sat on the steps of 7-11 all afternoon.
I'm going to head for Takiab as the rental Villa is only 5 mins from there.

Been raining quite a bit as wettest month of the year, today was lovely though

Expect rain 50% of days and you won't be too disappointed

Additionally, per Thai election law, there will also be alcohol sales bans in affected provinces, which includes Phuket and Pattaya/Chonburi (But not Bangkok) from 6:00 PM on Friday, January the 31st, to 6:00 PM on Saturday, February 1st. This will shut down popular entertainment venues, clubs, bars, etc during that time window. Restaurants can stay open but not sell alcohol.

Yes this is Hua Hin as well. Bars closed Friday afternoon until Saturday 17:00 or 18:00

This actually coincides with the Chang FA Cup Semi-Finals. Whoever it was at Chang that arranged the semi-final date should be shot

I think you'll find they're closed 11th and 12th.

That's certainly the case in Nongkhai.

There's voting in many places on the 11th, hence the 6pm start on the 10th.

Yes, I've just checked, and the ban on alcohol here does stretch from 18:00 on the 10th until 23:59 on the 11th.
