Firstly I understood the stat perfectly, no need at all to clarify it

Secondly, I happen to adore football trivia and there's not a week that goes by without me being involved in a teaser or two.

However, as Haaland only played 30 mins at the end of this game this is a non-question for me. If he played 90 mins(which he conceivably could have and still not scored) I fully accept it would be a question worth posing.

Suffice to say he's failed to score against many teams this season(and yet still has 20 goals)

Ps who was the first Welshman to win the European cup/Champions league?

Newcastle completely dominant in the first half of the Carabao Cup final, 'pool yet to have a shot on target. Pretty certain the second half can't go the same way?

Nice to see Mr.Carabao in attendance. His business acumen should be essential reading for students. From famous (in Thailand) Thai folk singer to part owner of a $62 billion dollar brand. :D

2nd half started pretty much where we left off in the first half. Newcastle had a goal disallowed, less than a minute later they get their second goal. Pool have to go for it now, entertainment for the neutral.

Great game. Newcastle get their first trophy since the 1968/69 season. Liverpool dumped out of two trophies in 5 days.

I watched this weekend's 6 nations. Oof, Wales... may they rest in peace. 🖤🪦

Probably not the greatest of games but Newcastle were better than Liverpool so deserved to win - great save by Pope though to prevent Liverpool getting a goal at what might have been the turning point.

Ex footballers to train as referees.

https://www.skysports.com/football/news ... -officials

About time, I've been advocating this for years as we so much incompetence with officials in the EPL, most who I'm sure have never played a competitive game in their lives.
Their lack of knowledge usually shows when they can't differentiate between a genuine attempt to win the ball and a deliberate foul, often dishing out unwarranted yellow cards.
Also since VAR was introduced that's a perfect place to sit a retired player as no age limit or fitness level required, just knowledge of the game.
It doesn't matter what level they played at, any experience playing will be better than the current officials. It will also give retired players from the lower leagues who don't make the millions prem players earn a chance to boost their income and keep involved in the sport.
