But...Leeds now has nothing to lose, they may not care.

Maybe, but I’m sure they’ll want to finish as champions not second place!!

I gave up all hope months ago. However, with 7 games to go, the Plymouth talk was we're fcuk'd with 5 of the remaining games against top 6 teams. Those are the teams we're beating at the moment.

The biggest concern in Plymouth is the expected riot by Leeds fans animals on the last day of the season. I noticed the intended riot even being broadcast on a Hua Hin Facebook Group page this morning. There will be a lot of security around the city that day.

My own view is that a glut of injuries has a massive impact, is a genuine excuse and can easily be the difference between finishing mid-table and going down.

I'm told Plymouth had this issue throughout a big part of the season.

Yes, this is very true, but no complaints. I think relegation was expected as soon as Rooney was given the managerial post. Personally, in view of the injury woes, I would have given him until the end of the season.

It doesn't seem to have damaged the fan base though. Everything is a complete sell out to the end of the season, and supporters are clambering over season tickets for next season already. Mind you, a mediocre season next year could see that change dramatically.

Wrexham's current progression is interesting to watch. After the takeover by actor Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, they're on the verge of history. They'll be the first club ever to achieve three consecutive promotions, in England's top 5 Leagues, if they get promoted this season!

Pharvey, might be time to buy a Wrexham shirt dude. :D

Well, the inevitable happened before the Green Army kicked a ball yesterday when Luton scored an injury time winner to condem Plymouth to League 1. It's been on the cards since January, and despite a recent run of good form (4 wins out of the last 6 games), it was too little too late.

Hopefully, the board will stay true to their philosophy, and not blame (sack) Miron Muslic. We aren't a Premier League side trying to buy success, we are now a League 1 side hoping to consolidate/build to get back into the Championship. We need consistency. Miron was good enough to employ. The board now needs to be loyal, and support their mid-season decision. Fingers crossed for Miron.

LOL - the talk amongst Argyle fans is Rooney has scored a hat trick.

⬇️ Derby County
⬇️ Birmingham City
⬇️ Plymouth Argyle

Seriously though, I don't blame him (even though 95% of worldwide football fans thought it was inevitable and were proved right). Plymouth had some horrible injury misfortune, coupled with a player revolt, where they needed to offload a few bad apples. Shit happens in real football.

The fact that his recent record has been good (way better than Mr Rooney) and based on the philosophy that you’ve previously mentioned about the management of PA, it would be an unexpected move if they got rid of Miron.

I hope so, but football is a funny old game. Be sure, some will be looking for a head on the block. I'd rather give the guy a chance and have continuity.

I see Wrexham have now won promotion to the Championship, their 3rd successive promotion :thumb:

I'm assuming though that this comes with a whole different set of financial implications. They'll have to bring in new (and higher salaried) players and I guess also increase their squad size. Perhaps this is offset with regards to monies from the Football League and TV rights? Will be interesting to see how they will fare and how things will change at the club - can their Hollywood owners afford to be in that league, will they seek further investment?

3 promotions in 3 seasons is Hollywood stuff alright. They must already have a few decent players to have achieved what they have, and a good management team. They just need to buy wisely, and hope they don't get hit with injuries. They can also beg, borrow and steal Premier League players on loan. There are some good players out there looking for playing experience.

A friend of mine went to the Spurs game last night. He's saying he was paying £14 for a pint, and a bag of chips worked out at £1 per chip. All that I can say is bigger fool him for paying it. Mind you, all that I seem to get out of him is fantastic night - worth every penny. If I was paying £1 per chip, I wouldn't sleep at night.

It puts my trip to Nakhon Pathom and back for under £10 this week into perspective; and that involved some travel by taxi.

I think being stuck at an airport would make me pay over the odds but never £14(615 thb) for a pint of lager I'd do without! I won't be fully extorted.

I've googled it and, though the below comparison of stadium costs for a pie-and-a-pint was done 8 months ago, I can't believe they've gone up that much since. And a 'pound a chip' thing seems it could be an exaggeration...

Still horrible prices at uk stadiums mind, just not that horrible.
