Something caller said recently, United fans are living it ...
On saying that, the best goalie at the club, Petrovic, who was inexplicably loaned out to Strasburg last season, and ended up being voted player of the year at Strasburg
United got rid of De Gea, got Onana (we know how that worked out). Released Antony, named most valuable player (MVP) at Betis scoring some insane goals. Released Scott McTominay, Napoli win Serie A, McTominay is voted as the leagues MVP. Rashford had a pretty good stint at Villa too. Lukaku just won with Napoli.

The list goes on.

We have some serious issues at spurs... forking out money for top talent being one of them... but there's something deeply rotten at United. They spend the insane money, the salaries—but players seem to get stuck in a rut there recently, lose their confidence.

Sancho is the irregularity in all this. I believe, caller, you're paying United 5 million just to take him back after the loan spell

Or is it simply the Prima Donna "Can't be Arsed" (if we're not winning) attitude?

City seem to do the ok though with the biggest wage bill (though not this year, mind). Liverpool are obviously on the right path with a massive new marquee signing on the horizon to boot. Arsenal have been serious title contenders for three years. Chelsea and Villa up in the champions League mix. Spurs, meh, we are up there still as biggish spenders... and we're a bit rubbish here and there... but our wage bill is 60 million less than United's. That's a lot.

Lost, we have a Premier League thread. I understand your elation with Spurs, but you're getting well off topic (not Premier League).

Oh my days! Gutting for Sheffield United... most would have thought they wouldn't have needed the playoffs earlier on in the season. A £220 million cash injection for Sunderland over the prem year. Devastation for Sheffield

Neither team could beat a lowly Plymouth Argyle in 2025.
