The concern for gooners is they were 11 points short this season....

In other news United had an open top bus parade in Malaysia today..

They've never had three 2nds in a row. They've had a 1st 3rd 2nd. And a 1st 1st 2nd 3rd. Even a 1st 2nd 1st 2nd 1st 2nd.thecolonel wrote: ↑Wed May 28, 2025 9:06 pm Fully agree BG, three consecutive top 2s takes some doing
Perspective... Have LFC ever done it? Lost you're the 'Statto'

Re: Premier League 2024-25
What would Spurs give for a 2nd, 2nd, 2nd? Expectations are ridiculous these days it’s all about winning or nothing - crazy!!
Re: Premier League 2024-25
Utd didn't let their Asian fans down:
Championship Plymouth Argyle 1 - 2 Leeds Utd
Points 46; Position 23 RELEGATED

I'd give absolutely nothing. Prefer me trophy and Champion's League football while sitting pretty in 17th.Dannie Boy wrote: ↑Wed May 28, 2025 10:18 pm What would Spurs give for a 2nd, 2nd, 2nd? Expectations are ridiculous these days it’s all about winning or nothing - crazy!!

Many more will switch to 'pool or City soon. I've noticed this from Asian fans. Spurs might catch a few now we've won a trophy.

Re: Premier League 2024-25
After your complete dismantling of Real Madrid, I dreaded this would be your year in Europe. Fortunately...

Mates sent me videos of the Arsenal women's parade for their Champion's League win. Not quite the same as the mens team doing it, but the town turned out for a hell of an event. Both Tottenham and Arsenal had parties this week.

The 1st, 3rd, 2nd was in the prem. 2020 season onwards (they came second the season before too). The other two finishes I mentioned were back in the Shankly, Paisley days.thecolonel wrote: ↑Wed May 28, 2025 11:35 pmBut not in the Prem surely?Lost wrote:They've never had three 2nds in a row. Insider news says that Ange will be sacked, Tottenham are actively looking for a new manager. Can only wait for confirmation I suppose.

Re: Premier League 2024-25
You have to think they have been looking for a while already just a case of finding someone 'better'
The euro win makes no difference to the Board as to his ability IMO especially how you look at the performance on the night
Incredibly they lost 22 Prem games this season but beat man city 4-0 at City!

Re: Premier League 2024-25
Yup, unfortunately the league form (regardless of periods where we had umpteen players injured) was horrendous. I'll be honest, after the cup win, I'm kinda willing to get behind Ange for another season to see if he can turn it around. The players all seem to be behind Ange with one or two hinting that they won't hang around if Ange is sacked.
Ho hum, we'll have to wait and see. All I will say is, if PSG play like they did yesterday in the Super Cup against us, I wouldn't argue with it not being televised.

Thomas Frank and Marco Silva are apparently top targets to replace Ange.
