According to the latest meeting the work is planned to finish within 3 months of resuming, so hopefully the whole stretch from 7-11 to Initial Hotel will be completed on or before 8 Oct, but again you never know here

:D A quick search shows it used 14 times last year in various forums here, obvs ones you don't frequent :)

A bit derogatory like calling an Irishman Paddy, or a Welshman Taff, as you'd guess. I don't use it.

Its irrelevant, can we PLEASE just have one thread that stays on topic.

:banghead: :offtopic:

Was going to head down 94 today, but will take the back roads instead, thanks for the heads up.

:D a minor 'diversion' only!

Do we know if they need eventually to close the crossroads at the Seven for work? I leave Market Village by the back entrance, turn right into 94, cross the railway track and turn right at the start of Wonderland into the road where Chomjan club is (I forget the farang name, local Thais just call it 'road near the railway'). It avoids Petch Road when going north.

My lady has lived in HH 20 years. She and her friends just call it what I said ( I did ask her) so I don't know. Google Maps doesn't even name it as far as I can see!

No matter though.

(are we off topic again, hope not)

Thanks. It was open two days ago, just wondered if it will need to be closed to complete roadworks. Let's hope not.

Drove through yesterday evening, was quite bad.

Read on Hua Hin Today :

🚧 𝗦𝗼𝗶 𝟵𝟰 𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿

Road construction work on Soi 94 in central Hua Hin is now expected to be completed by the end of October, according to local officials said on Monday.

The resurfacing project, which covers a 500-metre stretch of the road, includes the installation of reinforced concrete and upgraded drainage systems. The project began on 22 July 2024 and was originally scheduled to be completed in February this year.

However, work was halted due to issues involving underground utilities and soil subsidence. These complications required a revision of the original construction plans, resulting in a significant delay.

On 14 July 2025, Mr. Jirawat Phrammanee, Municipal Clerk and Chairman of the Contract Inspection Committee, visited the site to inspect progress on behalf of the Mayor of Hua Hin City Municipality. He was joined by Ms. Nonglak Phadungthot, a member of the municipal council, along with Mr. Kalayut Kuyukham, Director of the Engineering Office, site engineers and the contractor.

During the inspection, officials confirmed that the first section of the road is currently undergoing surface adjustments, while drainage manholes are being installed in the second section.

Hua Hin City Municipality has acknowledged the inconvenience caused by the extended timeline and offered apologies to local residents and businesses affected by the construction.

Once completed, the upgraded road and improved drainage are expected to reduce flooding and improve traffic flow in the area.

Yes, they've done a great job sorting many Sois properly, but those other Sois did not take this long.
