Phew.... a late winner for England!
Congratulations to Carsley and his young men.

His expertise was at putting the ball in the back of the net - he’s proved to be lacking when it comes to being a football manager and from what I’ve seen, his punditry prowess is not much different!!

Re: Football (not Premier League)
Obviously not as competitive as most competitions, but Chelsea won the Club World final by beating PSG 3-0. Not sure what the odds were but I’m fairly certain PSG would have been clear favourites, with Chelsea picking up something like £90m in the process!!

Yes, 4 full years of bragging rights, reflected on the shirt as well. In the process Palmer has become a huge star and Chelsea using the tournament to play just about everyone and hone new tactics in the process, plus getting the money back for 2 summer signings, means that all in all,it has worked out well. The players now get three full weeks off, before meeting again for 2 pre-season friendlies, then head straight into the new season. Meanwhile, teams like Liverpool have already started playing friendlies.

An excellent result. Everybody thought the game was just a formality for PSG - well done.

Yes, I wished I'd watched it now - if that was possible? - more for the performance than the win. I have seen the highlights since. PSG's results prior to the final and their reaction at the end, showed that just how involved they were. The only letdown were City, with Guardiola's usual underestimation of an opponent letting them down again.

I've just seen Trump barging his way into the presentation and team celebrations. It looked as though it was pretty tricky prising him away!

Palmer's reaction to Trump not leaving the stage for the trophy lift is hilarious. He said in an interview afterwards, "Yeah, I knew he was gonna be there but not like...erm...on the stage when we're lifting the trophy so I was confused".
What a player that young man continues to be though. A steal at 40 mil, almost makes up for you flogging De Bruyne and Salah, caller
