Well the Boom Town effect of High Season is well and truly far over the horizon as the Low Season blues hit the streets.
Its hotter than ever in Hua Hin but for many low season is the famine that follows the feast...
Or is it?
How is everyone faring with the low season?
Are the movers and shakers, bar managers and Restaurant Gurus at their wits end? Or maybe they've got a few tricks up their sleeve and are riding high?

Over here worse than last year unless they have a trick to attract Chinese and Korean customers. The bars seem to be down to the expat regulars, on their same chairs with many empty chairs in between.
I think the real concern should be if the elections and new constitution and wild man Mr. T and the South and ????? disrupt things more than they already are before the start of high season? Pete
Sure less tourists on the streets as always this time of year but other than that I can't see much difference, the expat numbers are certainly growing ... but then again I don't go out anymore

Everytime at this time of year we are all saying "Never know it this hot before" and "bloody hell never known it as quiet as this"!!
Many bars have literally no customers at the moment, i think that it really is more quiet than the last few low seasons.
In my experience June has always been the hottest and quietest month of the year. Last year was an exception for some reason. There were more tourists and the temperatures were lower. There could be a connection. People may choose to spend more time on the beach in the breeze and in their air-conned hotel room than in bars.
As for business the smarter proprietors see takings on an annual basis so the ups and downs of months would have no effect.
So far business has been more or less on par for this time of year but the second half will tell the true story.
I don't think the troubles in the south have much of an effect as the resorts closest to it seem to be least affected.
