Thailand makes fish-skin bikinis
The fish-skin bikini is a new fashion trend in Thailand, India's Zeenews reports. Made out of tilapia skin, a waterproof bikini costs $75. Tilapia fish skin used to be sold for a few cents as a fried snack, but a few years ago its skin became well known in the leather market for its durability. A Thai leather vendor made a bikini from pieces of 15 fish stitched together. The fish skin, which now costs about $1.25, is dried and dyed. The bikini was unveiled at a fashion show, and tilapia skin is now used for handbags and shoes as well.
now there is an excuse for having a fishy smelling crotch

What's ever happened to pig skin? In my youth a gentlemen was not properly attired in cold weather without his pig skin gloves. Driving gloves also, and the original NFL footballs, perhaps European footballs and rugby balls as well? I think even the original basketballs were pig skin.
Has pig skin been replaced by fish skin now, and relegated to the deep fryer as pork rind snacks?
Give me a babe in a pig skin bikini, that's the ticket. On a Red Sea beach would even be better than here! Pete

Allright I appoigise for this in advance. A great joke I heard in the UK many years ago.
"Q": Why should women not be allowed to swim in the sea
"A: Coz u can never get the smell off the fish.
Whatever will happen now, joke is dead and buried

Why the hell would any woman want to wear a waterproof fish skin bikini? I can understand wetsuits being waterproof, but bikinis? When the rest of you gets soaked? And fishskin? Uuurgh!
What makes me think that this appeals more to men's fantasies than women's practicalities?

Mermaids could be a clue? Personally, I dream of Ms. Piggy in a fish skin outfit. A bit of boar reddish in color to compliment her complexion, and slightly revealing in the right places. Kermit will be speechless and twitching. PeteDawnHHDRC wrote:What makes me think that this appeals more to men's fantasies than women's practicalities?![]()

This is great news.
We put more than two and a half thousand fish in our ponds several years ago. Some have been breeding - others have been predating. Life goes on as they say.
Tilapia (Pla Nin) breed like proverbial rabbits and we only placed a few in the ponds initially knowing full well that reproduction was not a problem
Today we have thousands of the buggers - quite normal - they are cannon fodder for the predators, fun for the kids, food for the table.
Because they breed well, we allow our customers to take 2kg home free when caught.
With this staggering revelation it seems that they may be worth more than some of the more rarer and unique species that we have.
Doing the numbers and maths yields
5000 Tilapia (CONSERVATIVE estimate) / 15 fish per bikini x $75 = $25,000 of stocked bikinis in knocked down form.
Security has been increased and the BIKINI SALE STARTS SATURDAY
