I thought all who become professional athletes must have trained from a young age but if Thais do it with there national sport its barbaric apparently.

Do European and American Boxers start at 18?

Japanese and Chinese Martial Artists?

Marco Barrera, the Hall of Fame Mexican boxer recently anounced his retirement at age 33 after 18 years as a pro.
He is studying to be a lawyer.

Exactly, Marco Antonio Barrera and Erik Morales must have been training from a very young age and they havent done too badly for themselves.

Good to see another fan here BaaBaa.
Yes, Morales grew up over a gym. I imagine both started as little kids.
Soccer players start pretty young, too. The big clubs sign kids up at the age of 10-12 and some very gifted players have turned pro at 16, Cesc Fabregas comes to mind.

Barcelona didnt sign him up quick enough though.
