Not all TV's Steve. The Panasonic I brought with me 6 years ago had no VHF tuner. Neither did my video recorder. Both had to be scrapped.

DVD players here tend to be multi-region so should play any DVD's including ones from Europe. Even ones bought in Europe now tend to be multi-region. The copy DVD's made here have no region stamp so will play on any DVD player.

I think that is possibly the case with PET’s TV from the OP if it has UHF on the label, I tried to find a service manual on the net, but I couldn’t find one. I think 6 years ago they were still making TVs in the UK instead of the in Asia.
