That's one-side of the argument but it is clear they persecute their own quite happily.
Way before the USA/Coalition were there, Iraqi government was persecuting Shi'ites and Kurds.
Fellow Iraqi muslims that dissented against the government were dragged in with their families, the parents were made to watch as their children's skulls were drilled repeatedly with electric drills until they died. Then the parents were killed.

Hamas and Fatah kill each other for power/control.

West Ham Taliban persecute their women or anyone who dares to speak out.
They stone to death women who 'shame' the family for doing the slightest little thing.

These radicals don't want to live in peace at all, never ever, they are only happy when beating, torturing and murdering their fellow Muslims, or any others that come within their reach.

They're just murderous nutters.

Just a point on Al Jazeera. I watch it quite regularly. It's on Sky if you have that in the UK. It clearly has an editorial agenda to broadcast to the world from an Arab/Muslim perspective but its programming content and presentation is excellent and normally allows all viewpoints to be heard.

I'd recommend it to anyone, if only as a counterpoint to whatever news output you normally watch.

The truth is out there .... somewhere mixed up in the middle of it all!

It all seems to be one sided as far as I am concerned.

when you see tv pictures of palistinians dancing in the streets praising allah after the twin tower incident, it's hardly surprising that gain little respect from the watching world.
as for the persecution of iraqi muslims by the usa?
muslim factions (shi'ites, arab sunnis,kurdish sunnis & shias) are fighting & killing each other for control of iraq.
throughout the world there is conflict & terrorist activity & in almost every case muslims are the main culprits, thats a fact. is it any wonder that they gain little sympathy or respect?

You may be interested in a book by Sam Harris called 'The End of Faith' - he lays down some compelling arguments on the above subject. Well worth a read.

I watched this video the other day and it is very powerful.

It does give you some hope for the future when a brave women like this will stand up to the men with their idiotic fanaticism and say. . .enough!

That the salvation of the world might someday be in the hands of women who have thrown off the yoke of Islam is such an interesting thought.[/u]
