Thai music

Post by larioboy »

Would be interesting to know if any of you like Thai music?
They have very good Pop/Rock and traditional music.
For my part I like Zaza, Bird Thongchai, Kat, Clash, Tai Tanawut, Dajim, Carabao, J.Jetrin, Jintara Poonlarb (morlam) and many others.

Used to listen to a lot of Thai music, I find it a great tool for learning the language.

Yes I like LOSO too and the China Dolls.
I´ve been to the Pattaya music Festival 2 years ago (2003).
That was really great! Bird Thongchai, Dajim, Palmy, TAXI, Mr.Koh Saxman and many more Thai singers were there performing.

Half ya luck!!!!!

I find Thai music irritating as hell. I've listened to a far bit but to me it just doesn't sound right.

The female dancers on the music videos are well worth watching though.

I agree with Buksida, i get the karaoke music vids, and can see the romanized words for the Thai lyrics...pretty cool.
Bell from China Dolls is really a nice down to earth girl, and China Dolls music helped me through some rough times these last 8 months when my mom suffered and finally passed away from cancer. Music truly can help me.Also Bell's kind words were a comfort. Thai people truly seem to be sincere unlike the selfishness of many here in US. This is why i want to move to Hua Hin

I like few bands of Thai music coz most of the bands singing too much about LOVE "Broken heart stuff" and means quite all the same. Many of old singing stars were very good and the songs have good meaning-for example the singing star called: Rungpet Lamsing (ÃØè§à¾ªÃ áËÅÃ

I know some say blek...mushy love stuff...but for me...
I have been into everything from punk to Puccini and all points between, been in a few bands as well, and maybe as I get older I am getting more sentimental, but at least now in my life I find Asian female pop singers to be a very refreshing and soothing change.
Just my opinion

Larioboy,
you still can get those CDS mate. And they are always possible to be in the music cds shop for sales at anywhere, just asks the seller and they will get them for ya!
They are classic Thai music (Look Tung) and always good to listen to, these music will make you feel really relies and relax.
They are popular, proper music and good meanings. (In Thai language)
The singers now are old people as these music were famous when I was very young (Baby) some of them B4 I was born, so! That’s why they are real classic!!!
