Not quite arrested - A spokesman for Portsmouth said on Wednesday that the club's chief executive and manager had "been asked to help police with their inquiries concerning a matter dating back to 2003". Actually I don't think that is quite correct caller; if the police want to question someone who either is related to a suspect or they feel is likely to refuse to co-operate voluntarily, I believe they will arrest them, even if they are not a suspect.caller wrote:There's a load of nonsense from 'Arry about this on the beeb, that he had to be arrested to go the Police station to act as a witness, as it's wot 'appens. So far the line from the man and his solicitor is that its to do with events in 2003 not directly relating to him.

That seems to be his gripe? It does appear a bit strong to try and arrest him at 6am if he's just a witness?
