pipe blocked

If its blocked with fat then caustic soda will clear it no problem. when clear pour 2 or 3 litres of boiling water through the pipe.

Caustic soda is great if you can find it here - which I haven't.

Another solution (for want of a better word) is sachets of drain cleaner which you can buy at the supermarket in the shopping mall. It fizzes and reacts the same way as caustic soda and does the job pretty effectively. You can find the sachets (or big pots) at the rear of the supermarket, near the loo cleaner and other nasty stuff.

Vinegar is also quite good at cleaning pipes (and clogged up shower heads).

----Grease in pipes-----

Hi ya,

Trust me, you wont move that shit with Caustic Soada or any other kind of Liquid. That stuff (grease) is the curse of blocked pipelines as most
folks throw their hot or liquid fat down the drain which cools in mins.

Don't 'waste' your time (no pun intended) cut out some sections and see how bad it is--if its full up-Replace it -----you'l same time and money.

Cheers PP

Would agree with last post.

BUT - when replacing the pipe, use 'T's instead of bends or elbows and put blank removable caps on them.

Next time you get a blockage you can 'rod them out'

Call or pm me if you want for more info
