Anybody know of any Thai banks that are in London? I am going back for a bit and if any money is to be sent over here I would rather not use Western Union!
P.S would my Nationwide cash card work in Thailand. It only has Cirrus and Link facilities... So Im thinking not.

Bangkok Bank is the only one with a branch in London, although I heard it was a commercial set up only - could be wrong. But as I'm sure you now, you can transfer money via any bank - at cost.
I found with smaller amounts it was cheaper and quicker to use moneygram (never used WU) and with larger amounts it was cheaper via the bank.
Can't help about the card, sorry.

Randy, I use my Aussie card in the UK at anywhere that shows Cirrus or Maestro.
I did have problem in Thailand as they do not recognise a Cheque Account in the Thai System.
When I went to HH last year I had to change the account type to a Savings Account on my card instead of Cheque and did not have as much problem as normal, and left it that way when I got back.
But with the UK had no problems at all. Just to be safe if you have a credit card, transfer some money onto it before you go in case you have problems
