New Year celebrations in Hua Hin.

Post by StevieC »

Myself, LTGF and a chum are going to be staying in Hua Hin over the New Year period. What kind of celebrations can we expect. Will there be the ubiquitous fireworks displays, like Chiang Mai ? Are there going to be any special events on?

Hey,

Now it's not to early since it's mid November. I'd like to ask the same question. does anyone know of any goings on for New Year. I have friends coming for a visit and would like to show them a good time (family) so I'd like to know if there are any fireworks or special New Year's eve celebrations around town.

Thanks

Except for last year (out of respect for the Tsunami victims) there has been quite a lot of fireworks around midnight. Down towards the Hilton. There are the odd crazy persons throwing them around the bar areas, or lighting off strings of them there. It is pretty lively, and your guests should enjoy themselves.

Thanks, but I was looking for something more specific; like is there a nice restaurant or hotel that has a particularly good New Year's eve dinner and celebration that is maybe withing site of the main (if any) fireworks. I want to make a reservation to make sure they have a good time. I don't want to just be wandering the sois with them at midnight. I have searched the internet but all I seem to find is the mention of a compulsory dinner at all the big hotels for their guests, no details at all.

Thanks again

Oh ok hhf, I think some of the restraunts on Naretdamri Road across from the HIlton would be a decent spot to view from. Maybe some of the HH resident board members can post some of the names, and possible e-mail / website links?

Most of the big hotels will have compulsory dinner, you can't avoid this unless you stay somewhere smaller.

Use this if you want to make a booking:
