I know it has been asked before and yes I have followed the threads which appear a little dated but could anyone assist with recommendations for and please excuse my ignorance re; these matters:
- English speaking dentist
- English speaking general practicioner
- Lawyer (for conveyancing/housing contract etc) not dodgy please
- does HH have broadband wireless for PC's
Forewarned is forearmed. Thanks in anticipation

Chuck,
Taking your list in order, I can't recommend on a couple of them but I am sure others can;
- English speaking dentist - I use Hua Hin Dental Clinic, which is on Sra Song Road, opposite the back of Hua Hin Shopping Mall. I have previously used Dr Nikorn who is OK and Dental 2000 but have foundmy current dentist to speak better English and do good work.
- English speaking general practicioner - Thailand does not really have a GP system, but the two places i have been (and will go back) are the PolyClinic on Phetkasem Road opposite the Tesco Lotus Express/Esso petrol station, and also Dr Sumet, also on Phetkasem Road, on the left going south after the main traffic lights in the middle of town - he is really a specialist with children but does treat adults as well i think.
- Lawyer (for conveyancing/housing contract etc) not dodgy please - I have not used anyone local for this; many people recommend getting a lawyer from Bangkok though.
- does HH have broadband wireless for PC's - there are internet cafes that offer wifi (Sunshine is one of them) but there is not a town wide system; also broadband is not the same as you get in the Western world and you have to pay quite a lot (relatively) to get anything approaching fast speeds. I have set up my own wireless system at home so that both my wife and I can surf anywhere in the house or garden, and I connect using TOT's silver cyber package, which I have found to be reasonably quick and relatively stable; however I did have some problems when I first signed up, and kept badgering them about it, and I think they may have given me access to a different server, possibly one that others pay more to access! I have recently moved house and now live further out of town but have found the connection to be just as good as before, whereas my previous provider TT&T told me that I would not be able to get ADSL access this far out of town! They also rely on TOT providing the infrastructure as far as I know, so I would go with TOT. My package costs 856 baht per month, including the phone line fee, although you do also have to have or buy a suitable router/modem.
I hope that helps, but there are threads that get updated on all these matters - just because a thread has been started 2, 3 or 4 years ago does not mean it doesn't have relevant information posted later.
Slight correction to your ADSL stuff, both TT&T and TOT rely on CAT so neither is really better, depends which package you choose, your location and the state of the local phone lines.
Full explanations are here (a long with a load more info for expats):
There is a fairly widespread network of 802.11 wireless access points in Hua Hin through Sunshine Wireless. You can buy access by the minutes 30, 60, etc. at shops throughout town that gives you a login and password. Not nearly as fast as ADSL, but there's no setup cost or time.
I just got connected through TOT. Cyber Gold Package 2054Mb for 1000 Bht / Month. Wireless router approx: Bht 5300. Phone Connection Base Bht 3800. You will be charged extra for long cable runs from the nearest connection point.Good service and the speed is just fine. I waited for 5 weeks for TTT and no rersponse at all, TOT had the job completed within 2 weeks of submitting the application.
