I.m real novice concerning Hua Hin.
Have been many times in Phuket, but now I want to stay for 2 weeks in end of September-beginning of October.
Please kindly give me Your advice on next items:
- how is weather in Hua Hin at end of September-beginning of October ? Rain/no rain , sunshine?
- please advice about accommodation possibilities close to beach (sea water). I'm a psoriasis sufferer, rather serious one, so I need Thai sun and salty sea water.
- accommodation should have conditioner (I'm from North Europe) and possibilty to connect my own laptop to Internet
- of course cheaper is better, but certain standards are obligatory
Weather is unpredictable as it is in most countries in the world. We had more rain the the whole of the Amazon basin two years ago. The following year we did not get any at all which led to water shortages ( fresh rather than sea) so take your chance. Prachuab is the driest province in Thailand statistically.
As for the psoriasis you should try the Blue Lagoon betwee Rekyavik and Keflavik in Iceland. It has positive effects for mant sufferers.

Hi Guess,
I really don't like temperature and climate in Iceland - brrrrr.. ...and I have a lot of positive experience concerning my skin disease (temporary) improvement due many of my visits to the Phuket, Karon Beach.
But Phuket is out from the list at end of Sept.-beginning of Oct. due lot of rain and few sunshine.
I'm not very much of Patong Beach fan ( nor Pattaya as well) ,
can anyone advice a bit about accommodation in Hua Hin?

I have never been in Hua Hin before, but it seems rather sure that after 5 weeks I will arrive.
I'm planning to stay in Hua Hin on weeks 39 and 40.
How to get from Bangkok to Hua Hin - some local flight I suppose?

There's a cluster of inexpensive guest houses about 1 km south from down town area. They're about 700-1000 baht/night and the beach is only a few hundred meters away + it's a lovely piece of beach there. There are also several guest houses/hotels in down town area with very similar price range for example P.P. Villa, Sailom and Jed Phii Nong.
Best way to come to HH from Bangkok is by taxi which should be about 2,000 baht.

How long (by time) is this taxi drive from BKK International airport - should I make any special arrangements for this in advance?

Only in HH 5 weeks agoa and stayed at the Ban Duangkaew Resort that is about 4kms from the town (going south).
Is not right on the beach, but only about 100meters from the beach.
Room I had, had a cable internet connection, also the resort has an internet room that you can also use.
They have transport in and out of town twice a day, other than that, they are more than happy to arrange transport for you.
Prices when I was there was pretty reasonable.

What can You say about sea water - there are so many different opinions in this forum
I really do not know how to judge the sea water, if you are asking, is the water as blue and clear as Phuket or Phi Phi Island, I would have to say not, but to me sea water is sea water. It all tastes the same if I happen to swallow it.
Perhaps contact a medical centre in HH and ask their opinion on what they advise about your condition.
There is an English speaking doctor on the main road in town from Bangkok to the south, may pay to try and contact him (sorry cannot remember hsi name. Has both a surgery and chemist shop there.

It's about three hours. You can ask the hotel where you will be staying if they can orginize the transportation. There are also taxis outside the airport but these can be quite a big hassle if you come here for the first time.
