Newcomer. Looking for advice on Property
I think we are losing it.....
Dear all,
I am glad that my questions, as a newcomer, raised so many issues, even though I believe that the exhange of ideas has somehow got out of control.
Nevertheless, from discussion, no matter how harsh it can be, the outcome can not but be informative and interesting.
If anyone wants to recommend any Estate Agents, please do so in PA, if I am not mistaken.
After all, recommendation is not cold blood advertising.
Thank you

Newcomer looking for advice on property
Is it just me - or is this whole topic starting to feel a bit 'suss?' Sorry - but too many alleged newcomers seem to be fishing for info on property, and won't accept advice to take their time and get to know the place. It's also very strange that one or two want to settle in HH without ever having been there or even knowing what a farang is. Or am I just becoming a cynical old crusty?
A sprout is for life - not just for Christmas.

Nah, Maggie, you're just being observant and astute. I did not like what I saw, hence my previous posting.margaretcarnes wrote:Is it just me - or is this whole topic starting to feel a bit 'suss?' "There's no plausible or convincing reason, certainly no evidential one, to believe that there is such an entity (= deity) and that all observable phenomena, including the cosmological ones... are explicable without the hypothesis; you don't need the assumption."
Hi we bought our house whilst on 2 week holidays , 1 to check out the area ( been to many parts of los but not HH ) second holiday we looked at various properties with various agents. Life in Thailand is different to the western world , even reliable people are not always 100%, some agents were good some too busy if they thought you did not want to buy now, some show you what you want to see plus other properties they think will fit YOUR criteria, others show you the properties they want to sell. Seeing second hand properties is nearly impossible through an agent. My experiences are 2 years old when the agents were very busy ,things may have changed now. We finally bought a house which we are very happy with, our agent kept us up to date with ongoing photos so we could see progress and has remained a friend. He was also very useful as a go between with the builder as he was on the spot when we needed help.
Please pm me if you would like the name of our agent, lawyer or builder.

Totally agree about the 'bit suss'. In another posting he says that he has links with the media. He seems to be totally ignoring any good advice, and keeps pushing for a bad news story.margaretcarnes wrote:Is it just me - or is this whole topic starting to feel a bit 'suss?' I really don't see the point with your question!hhenias wrote:

Again.
You've already got your reasonable shares of advises, and if they're not good enough for you then come out here and have a look for yourself.
margaretcarnes; you are spot on!!
I intend to live forever - so far so good.

Is it easy to rent your house?
Dear friends, good morning to you all
Let me repeat, that I appreciate all comments, about the "Purchasing a House", issue.
Let me clarify that the word "primehome" which is included in my e-mail, is just the name of the Internet provider here in Cyprus. No relation whatsoever with the Housing estate.
Now, let's get down to business...
Is it easy for a foreigner, to rent his or her house while away?
Are there offices who do just that?
Can the Estate Agency with which someone co-operated, to undertake such a task?
Feel free to PM me for any private and not allowed in the forum suggestions.
Thank you

Yes very easy and you can make very big bucks
Are there offices who do just that?
Yes many offices in HH, I would say there are about as many estate agents as there used to be pubs on a UK main road in the 60's
Can the Estate Agency with which someone co-operated, to undertake such a task?
Yes the estate agents are very friendly people and will help you out
