Hua Hin - the place where the customers are not even slightly close to being right!
Hua Hin - the place where they are running out of municipal water
Hua Hin - the place for unplanned over development
Hua Hin - the place where a game of pool becomes more serious than the crucible
Hua Hin - the place where you get your drinks drugged
Hua Hin - full of moaning auld gits like me
Huahinafterdark - a place where you can moan even more about it!

:thumb: (Please - I'm only joking!!!! no flak!)

Hua Hin - We all love it really! :D

I have eaten there many times. I know for a fact that if the owner had been there he would not have made you pay.

Your service was clearly very poor and the resturant manager should have learnt by now that foreigners expect a higher standard than that.

Soma advice, there are lots of resturants in Hua Hin, may be you could use this opportunity top find and enjoy another.

We use to go there every morning and it is easy to get into the habit of going to the same old place, then my parents came and asked if we could try some new places, and we found that there are many places out the re just as good.

Actually I dont find the cooking conditions that clean there anyway, and the table covers are looking very tatty now.

Give the owner a chance to make it right. and retrain ms Nok in the nuances of customer service. If he doesn't treat you right, let us know about it.
He should fix you up with a couple a good meals and drinks to boot after the way Nok treated you. and you can teach the staff how to cook a sausage with onions, hold the salad.
Don't think I'll go back. Not really looking for a free meal. Once I've had an experience like that I don't want to sit in the place again. They might spit in my food.
KK, with all due respect, a free meal is not the point. reject it, if offered. What is the point IMHO, is doing the battle. If not for yourself, then for the rest of us, including the owner, ms nok, the staff and customers who will come after you. It's not pleasant, I know, see my post on Beware Hutch Scam. but sometimes life is unpleasant. But I believe you gotta play the hand you're dealt, not fold your cards.
I've heard from a former employee that ms Nok is very hard on staff she doesnt like and runs them out of there. the behavior of people like that gets reinforced when they always win because nice people would rather not get into a big scene. She shouts you down and away you go. She need to learn she can't alway win. Boss need to know her s.o.p.

So please go back and see what happens. ms nok needs a wake-up call FOR HER OWN GOOD, not to mention staff and customers. The boss needs to know what goin on when he's not there, AND WE NEED TO KNOW IF THE BOSS DONT CARE!! You will be doing many people a favor.
On second thought dont take your girl friend. You might even make friends with the owner if he realizes and APPRECIATES what you are doing for HIM. What say you?

OK now, 5 easy pieces restaurant scene. goes something like this:

Jack wants wheat toast with his breakfast, but menu says, white toast. Waitress says wheat toast not on the menu. Its one of those menus with numbers.

Jack says You got wheat bread dont you?
yes
You got a toaster dont you?
yes.

Well then bring me wheat toast with my breakfast

But sir its not on the menu and NO SUBSTITUTIONS.

He looks at the menu. sees tuna salad sandwich on wheat toast.

Ok he says I'll have NUMBER 27: tuna salad sandwich on wheat toast,
HOLD THE TUNA, :guns: HOLD THE MAYO, :guns:
HOLD THE LETTUCE, :guns: JUST BRING ME THE :cuss: WHEAT TOAST!!!

When the food arrives he looks at it and with his arm sweeps the whole lot off the table onto the floor over the feet of the waitress and walks out. :

But Don't suggust you try that here.

I have been to this place and just once as a new person to HH and it was enough - I am starting to see that there is not really a good choice for decent food in this town so I cook at home now. THis place was the worst though - rude staff, dirty tables, bad food and jsut a crazy look down on the stupid foreigner attitude all the time.... Why do people go to such bad places?

Agree with previous comments about going to see the owner if one has a proper case. By the way he sits usually at the left-entrance stone table every morning about 11.30 am. As it happened also at the Hilton Pub, the way to go about is to see the F&B Manager/GM.

I don't think it's anywhere near as bad as you're suggesting edwinadanish. I don't eat there often, but have never had an experience like you suggest. I don't think it's dirty or the staff are rude.

I don't doubt KK's experience. I've never ordered off menu & I'm sure that's where mistakes occur when they do. But I really don't think your (edwinadanish) post is anywhere near to the experiences I've had in All In Hua Hin.

SPHERICAL OBJECTS !

(ie. scotch eggs) to all you UNBELIEVERS !!!

The sanctity of speciality meat products MUST be preserved .

The issue of the sacred and international sausages being ABUSED should forthwith be addressed !!!

A demonstration of UNITY outside the EVIL ABUSERS OF SAUSAGES LAIRS MUST TAKE PLACE!!!

Let we not rest until there is NO RUDENESS ,or lack of appropriate expedience ,or degree of HASTINESS in the delivery of hot cylindrical meat products !!!

WE DESERVE OUR MEAT !!! ON QUALITY !!! ON TIME

(even if we are vegetarian)

BTW There has been a very miserable trout in there in recent weeks .

A bit off topic, but while I was reading this thread at sunshine internet (opposite from Euro Bakery), which I've been using on and off for years, the girl in charge cut off my connection while chatting on her phone. She's done this two times before and it is, as you can all imagine, very frustrating. So I asked her why did she turn off my connection and first she said, she didn't. Well, in that case what happened? Then she said, someone else had been there before me and she had to cut it off because that person had now left. I said that I'd been there for the last half an hour and there was nobody using the machine when I walked in. Then she asked me: "How can you know nobody was there?" Well simply because when I entered the place, there was nobody there and I had been using it already for a half an hour. She then got another phone call and just walked out. I put ten baht on her desk for the half an hour's service that I had used. She then came in and said: "This time you don't have to pay anything." I thanked her but said that is not the problem and walked out. Well, so these things do happen everywhere, don't they?

Never had a problem there except one time when my GF had to wait 30 mins for Thai food! Agee that some of the staff do sem to need a bit of training though.
The owner is named Till and seems a decent chap. As icebear said he is to be found chatting at the left side front table.
