The understudy!!!
 wow understudy, you must hold the record, of posts before entering the crawlers zone :D

have fun :thumb:
Wrong - I've never requested access yet. No desire to enter the zone in the near future either.
i did say record amount of posts before 'entering' & as you will not be entering, it could still be a record!! :D

There is a need. . .

Post by HuaHinR »

. . . for a similarly focused thread which does not require 30 posts. . . most visitors would be interested in and helped by such a forum, and are not here long enough to post 30 times. What's the rationale for the requirement? Isn't it possioble to lessen the requirement, or to have a similar (perhaps less explicit) forum?

Read all 20 pages of this thread and you'll understand the rationale.

And no, posting 30 short replies and comments within 6 hours does not count either. Very few visitors are helped by such a forum which is why we keep it private - activity is also very limited which confirms our thoughts on it.

Being new to this forum I can only imagine what is in the restricted area. I belong to several boards in other areas in Thailand and I can say that access should not be granted to everyone.
I have seen certain materials that get posted in restricted sections used against the posters and shared with people that it was not intended to be shared with.
When I am granted access to that section I will happy to share some of my tales through out LOS, but untill then I will be content with the rest of the forum.

Just crawled over the limit. Couple of lightweight ones in there of the 'thanks for the welcome' type, but after a year of lurking, I think I can claim that in the most part they were relevant, informative, grammatically correct and overly long...

applying for entry

Corky, I'm pissing myself! I've seen most of your postings, and I suspect you'll find the crawlers just a bit of a disappointment...

The downside of lurking, is that it raises expectations...

No matter. I was going to hold off on it for a while, but I thought 'what the hell, them's the rules'.

Another long-time lurker here. . . requesting entry (and, as suggested, keeping expectations reasonably low). . . .
