Hi,
Spent most of the last 6 months in Thailand, and a lot of that in HH. Prior to that, visited many times going back originally to 1994 when I got hooked on diving.
Originally from the UK, but haven't spent much time there in the last couple of decades, and don't much see that changeing.
Decided last month to make it a fairly permanent move to Thailand so now have a 1 year visa and will be arriving back 'in theatre' sometime in late April or early May. I'll be pretty much split between Bangkok and Hua Hin, with a preference for HH.
I've been lurking the site for some time (over a year) as a pal of mine moved there around that time, and have used it on and off to get info & tips.
Signed up, but lurked a lot

There isn't so much to be intrigued about - however, feel free...
It is indeed German but I am not. I spent more time in Frankfurt than any other city I ever lived in, but the passport is UK. But I also lived in Vienna, London, Singapore, Cardiff and a couple of other less glamorous places in Holland and France. Some of it as a student; some of it working. In total, I have so far probably spent a bit over 2 years in Asia, the majority of that in Thailand and Singapore, but also pretty much every other country there (exceptions Myanmar & Philippines) - a lot of it with a backpack though, not as a resident.
I wanted to sign up with the name 'corkscrew' (for no obvious reason other than I'm a bit of a wino) in a couple of places, and it was always taken. So I used korkenzieher, which - not surprisingly - is German for corkscrew. I'm pleased at least that it got people wondering.
So, any Germans out there, yes I can. But you'd probably prefer I didn't...
